Default How do I post a link without posting the whole address?

So I have a question about posting links. I see people put 'My Blog' or 'My Gallery' under their signatures and I'm wondering how they do that? I just copy and paste the address I want to post, but would love to know the other way to do it. Any ideas?? Thanks!!

Seems like a lot of steps, but easy once you do it a couple of times.

I'm not the most computer literate person so my terminology may not make sense--hope this works.

Okay say you want to direct people to http://www.stampinup.com/us/enu/default.asp which is Stampin up! The way I do it--which is likely very complicated--is type the name of the site which would be Stampin Up in this case or My Blog or whatever. Then you take your cursor and bring it to the beginning of what words you are using to Hyperlink---in my example it would be at the beginning of Stampin Up. Then you left click and drag down to the end of the words--it should be highlighted. Then click on the icon of the World and the chain link. It will bring up a box that says Please enter the URL of your link. It will already have http:// highlighted. If you know your web address you can just put it in there. But for me I don't think that way so I open the page I want in another tab and highlight the address. Then I click on the world thing and delete the http:// and paste my address in.

Stampin Up

It will show you your web address etc. You can click on the box below that says Preview Post to see if it works. You can also highlight the words and use a different color etc.

I probably totally confused you--so try this article about "hyperlinks"

I tried this twice and it didn't work at all. I had the URL with the hyperlinked words embedded in the middle of it. I have a MAC and sometimes things aren't the same. Any hints from the peanut gallery for me? Thanks.

I have done this in the past to set up my Gallery and Blog in my sig. When I'm doing replys, I don't get the same icon dashboard. I'm still not seeing the box when I'm replying here. Any ideas???? UM...if I hit the Go Advanced button I see the dashboard. Do I have to hit the Go Advanced button everytime I want to add a link?

Jenny, yeah that's the only way I know how to do it is to go to the 'Advanced' section so you have those options. I'm guessing you would have to do that every time. I am new at this though, so I could be wrong.
