I had been with my SU group for about a year and a half and so started to search the internet looking for sites with examples of SU cards or projects. One day, Splitcoaststampers came up in my search. Even my demo had not heard of it, but soon my whole group was checking out the galleries and suddenly seeing stamp sets they had to have because they saw how they were used here. After a few months, I got up the nerve to actually stop lurking and start talking. When SCS finally asked for some financial support because of the costs associated with their huge growth, I gladly paid so I wouldn't miss my daily fix here.
So, I sort of stumbled across this site - how did you find your way here?

That's how I found it too! I was looking online for card pics, and SCS popped up. I couldn't believe what I'd found! I joined 2-1/2 yrs ago, but lurked for a LONG time. I remember being so nervous about my first post, lol!

I used to sell on Ebay & was very active on the chat boards (imagine that!!) I was interested in stamping, but really had nobody to show me how to do it so I went to the Hobby & Craft chat board (they have different forums for each Ebay category). A woman in that forum told me about this site. I thank her every chance I get!!
Hi..my sis asked me if i wanted to go to a card class at the new lss that had just opened in the small town about 1/2 hour from me. Sooo after 1 class i was hooked..lol..then after about 6 moos. and many $$$ later the owner asked me if i ever tried scs..i said no..she said oh go there it's awesome..so here i am..and loving it.. I never knew there was so much outside of stamping "a' flower on "a' card..lol. that's my story..and i'm sticking to it.

My old demo told me about it after I asked how she got all of her great ideas! She probably knew that introducing me to SCS would mean more sales for her, too!!
I have been a member of TwoPeas for many years and occasionally someone would like to the gallery or a tutorial here and i "had to join" to see the gallery and so i did... but, i felt a little overwhelmed by the sheer size of this site so, i just started playing in here this January.
Its starting to feel more cozy.
My demo told me about it but didn't make a big deal. I joined but didn't have a computer readily available. Then when I got one at home....well let's just say sometimes the dishes wait an extra day before I get to them.

I found SCS through a google search. I typed in stamping and cards and it was the first thing that came up. I then asked around another message board and it came highly recommended so here I am
My friend Penny invited me to a SU workshop. I was addicted immediately. On the way home she wrote down the URL address to this site. I spent the rest of the night and in to the morning drooling. . . Took me over a year to begin "participating" however. So glad to be here!

I was in a stamp club with my demo, and she told all the ladies about SCS. I wrote down the web address in my club folder, but can you believe it was another 6 months or so before I ever checked it out!? Once I actually made my way here, I was addicted within a week! And just 3 months later I signed up to be a demo....

A SU demo told me about it. I was hesitating purchasing any stamps because I didnt have any ideas. She referred me to the gallery here. I was a stamp a stack customer exclusively, but now I'm a rubber purchaser too
I was looking at the stamp set Heartfelt Thanks on Ebay and the seller linked the SCS gallery to her auction to show examples of cards. I stumbled around for a couple days and then I WAS HOOKED!
Never purchased a stamp set before that, never made a card. I bought that set and Frosty -that was 9 months ago, and the rest is history! My whole life changed! Corny, I know, but as a SAHM of 2 small boys, I needed a creative outlet and this was IT!!
I found it one day when I was on the verge of dropping my demoship with SU because of lack of inspiriation due to no upline. After that it is history....

Ok, now that amazes me! Why were you looking at stamps on ebay if you had never used one? LOL :p Were you searching for postage stamps? LOL
I'm sure you're glad that odd twist of fate got you here.

I never thought of looking for chat forums in Ebay, didn't know they had any! And I do cruise on there several times a month.
I've been enjoying SCS since 2004, and it has grown a lot, so it's interesting to see how the word has gotten around. Now there are lots of stamping blogs, but I don't know how people can keep up with so much info! It takes time away from any actual stamping I might do. :p Should have practiced those speed reading techniques more.

I did an internet search for SU! and stumbled across it too! I was thrilled (to say the least)!! It was a lot "smaller" back then.
I see we found this site about the same time, but look how chatty you've been! I go in spurts and then I'm quiet for awhile or just get dazed in the galleries.

I was at my demo's house at a class one night, and one of the ladies there mentioned something about www.splitcoaststampers.com (but of course I didn't write it down....very smart on my part). When I wanted to check it out when I got home, of course I couldn't remember the freakin' name!
I did, however, already belong to an SU group on Yahoo and I posted a question one day about what ATC's were.
Someone directed me to SCS and the rest is history! Now I am becoming an SU demo........I blame it on SCS. LOL!
I stumbled across it one day and was drawn to the simplicity of the Home page and the ease of accessing the different aspects of the site. The fact that it had no advertising or pop-ups was a plus, too. Even though they now have adds, they are unintrusive and, more often than not, something I'd be interested in.
I became a member as soon as it became an option and have never regretted it! My stamping has improved exponentially, and I'm still learning every day! It's a great resource for all things stamping related.

I too was posting on the SU forums, searching for some ideas and heard about SCS there. Never bothered with the SU forums again!
I find it ironic how many people say they because demo's after finding SCS or how much more they spend after coming here, etc. yet Stampin' Up still seems to want to pretend this site doesn't exist or give credit where credit is due. Frankly, I think SU owes a commission to Daven and Tracy!
My SU demo told me about it and I have been coming here for almost two years now. I get some much out of this set. I was so glad to give something back too by joining the fan club. It is a small price to pay for all that I get out of this site.
I was at a card class at my LSS when we did this really neat card. I asked her where she got the idea and she wouldn't tell me.
So I snuck a peak at her printout and wrote down the beginning part of the web address. I came within the next few days and fell in love! I'm a member at scrapbook.com as well but I really like it here so much more. I feel like it's a nicer community in general.

I was at a SU workshop and one of the ladies there mentioned this AWESOME website for inspiration. When I got home, I immediately had to check it out and have been hooked ever since. I have met so many wonderful people and received so much inspiration from this site. One thing that *sold* me on SCS was the fact that you didn't have to sign up or pay any fees. You could lurk for free! However, when I realized how wonderful the site is and all the work that goes into maintaining it, I joined the Fan Club. I want it to keep running!

I went to my first SU workshop in April 2007. The demo was a friend of the owner of my LSS who was just starting off. I had been buying SU for over a year and a half before my first workshop. All the girls were ranting and raving about SCS. The next day I signed up and now I cannot stay off.
Thanks to SCS, I have bought tons of more sets that I would not have chosen from the catalog alone. I have learned and tried new techniques. I now take pictures of every card that I make to share with other SCS members in my gallery. Thanks for creating a wonderful, inspiring, motivating, creative and enabling community!
I used to hang out on another bulliten board where there was one scrapbooking/stamping thread (imagine! Just ONE thread!!) Someone there mentioned SCS and I checked it out but for some odd reason, it didn't click. Then my demo told me about it at Christmas time last year and WOW--I haven't been back to the other board since. Besides the unlimited inspiration here, people are so nice...sigh... I have made a couple friends, plus watching the galleries of my already friends and coworkers. There is so little meanness here. The mods are right on top of things and don't allow trolling, like I said-such nice folks here.
My demo/friend told me about it. I was so glad to find it because it had never come up when I did searches for card ideas before. I love how everything is organized by set! Plus, I love all the tutorials and templates. Nothing else compares to Splitcoast! Now I've hooked my sister too. LOL
