So many great stories!! Bugga - yours warms my heart!! LOL
I've had part of mine for over a decade now... I spent 10 years in the Air Force and garnered the 'callsign' McFly. A callsign is a short nickname military pilots use so the enemy can't id the individual pilots if they're listening to their radio communications. I wasn't a pilot, but I worked closely with fighter pilots and earned McFly. It's easier to say, spell, and remember than my last name at the time (which was also a Mc name) and I'm obsessed with Back to the Future. So it stuck. The Junior & 88 part are because I'm a huge Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan and his number is 88. I used the whole thing together because it's my email address, too, and I won't forget it. ;-)

mcfly_junior_88: That line in your signature is the BEST one I've seen in awhile - thanks for the giggle!
My name is because I'm just absolutely, positively thrilled to be married to Greg! It's the second time around for both of us, and I've never felt so loved and cherished! We've been together since 1991, and I'm still as in love now as I was then...
Thanks, Sue! My dear old mom gave me a t-shirt with that phrase on it for my birthday last year. Guess she knows me as well now as she knew me as a child... :-)

Mine is in honor of the double eagle I shot in 2008.
For you non-golfers...a double eagle is a 3 under par on a hole. I scored a 2 on a par five. The odds of a hole-in-one are something like 1 in 30,000. The odds of a double eagle are 1 in a million. (I know these stats because I had to explain to my non-golfing, engineering minded husband how exciting getting a double eagle really is!)
This thread is so great! The stories are wonderful!
Mine is originally from an Oracle card that I continued to pull from a deck of cards called "Magical Mermaids and Dolphins" by Doreen Virtue. She called it "Synchronicity". In the back of the book, it listed the artists that did the original artwork that the cards were based on. Bruce Harmon is the artist. I went to his website and actually ordered 2 large dolphin paintings that he created! The original painting is "Crystal Dolphins" and it is of 2 dolphins crossed over one another, over incredible crystals below and behind them, all done in jewel tone colours. Breathtaking! My love of dolphins draws me to anything with beautiful dolphins and the name just stuck. It is my email and most of the time when I need a username, this is what I use
Our granddaughter had a hard time saying "Grandma Michele". It came out "grandma michelf). Hence, my name. She can now pronounce my name correctly, but I just thought it was so cute,

My DH came up with my name. When we were dating he called me Booboo (like Yogi bears best friend Booboo). Still does sometimes after being together for over 22years. I love to do crafts and was doing alot of stamping and he called me Booboostamper and it stuck.
I have two Papillon fur babies and their name means butterfly, their ears look like butterflies so hence ButterflyEars.
MotherMark once sent me an pm asking if butterflies really had ears....we still laugh over that one. If you go to my blog you will see what I mean.
Mine came from the grinch stole Christmas. Little cindy lou who. I'm little and my husband is very tall and when he watched the movie, he started to call me little ranalouwho. Pronounced : ron a lou who . My name is Rannah. Pronounced ron a . Short vowel a
My DD got me into stamping....yeah, like I needed another hobby! (Who knew it would become so all consuming?). Her online name began with JD, as she is an attorney. Naturally I had to be jdmommy. Occasionally I have wondered if I shouldn't change my name to something more ME, like something with RED in it (LOL!), but each time I add my moniker, it reminds me of my daughter.
I'm really lucky that she didn't choose the ESQ. at the end of her name........esqmommy is so hard to find on the keyboard!!

My mom was hoping for a boy, but got another girl instead. So growing up I had the nick name Jenny John inspired by one of my mom's favorite books: Katie John.
i collect pigs...and wear my hair pulled into a single pony or pigtail...used this nick on various pig owner websites/forums and just used it here as well

After a day of scrapping and having to clean the dining room table of the scraps before dinnertime (our dining room table was my first crafting area, I now have a craft room), I said to my husband, "I have enough table scraps here to make half a dozen more layouts." So 'tablescraps' stuck but I couldn't use the word with an 's' on the end since it was taken. Since my name is Suzanne with a 'z' it became....TABLESCRAPZ. And I've had it as a screen and blog name for at least 10 years. Also, the word conjours up wonderful memories of when I was a young child and my Grandma used to give her cats 'table scraps' which were just about any leftovers from a meal and I thought that was a funny name to call food.
I like mice. Not the real ones that run through your house, but the cute "fake" ones that sit in your curio cabinet and the House Mouse stamps. When I needed a name for my blog, a friend came up with Mouse Prints. Kind of like a mouse walking through the ink pad and then leaving prints on the cardstock.
This is a fun thread! I love learning how nicknames evolve. I was born in the year of the Tiger, and enjoy whatever little bit of idle time I find on my hobbies.

When we were growing up my brothers used to call me tigerlily (or tiger) from the Indian princess in Peter Pan. They still use it occasionally! 55 is my birth year.
When I joined here, I had a kitty named Pawz and she was born in 94. She left me in 08 and now I have new kitties, but I continue to use her name for my screen name even when I'm joining something new. It sounds better than Punky or Butters!;)
So much creativity! Mine started from the Deaf community giving me the name sign 'Mouse' with my first initial 'G' because I walked 'quite as a...". The mouse collections started then - Charming Tails, House Mouse, Beatrix Potter, etc. After finding stamping it was 'stampingmouse' with the idea of the little feet stamping all over the paper. But there are several stamping mice so needing something different I thought of the German spelling.
Chocolate Rose is SO me... I love chocolate and I love roses. This is also a "nick" I used on a cooking show a number of years ago. Interesting to hear how others have come by their names...
My screen name came about as I was new to stamping and wanted to create a name that I could remember easily and is an off-shoot of the first email address I came up with years ago, hence digitalstamper....I've since grown more creative and would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to change my screen name here on SCS if the powers that be would let me
We used to have a summer home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I used havasugramma as my user name, then one day someone asked me if it said Have A Stampin Up Gramma? I think it was perfect

Mine came from the nickname my dad gave me when I was little...Bunkey...he is the only person to ever call me that......he is gone now and has been for awhile....but I can still hear him call me by my nickname......my real name is Jewell
Favorite scriptures....Phil:4:13 and Isaih:40:31...have a good evening and I sure do enjoy..SCS....thanks everyone for you input on different things...we can learn a lot..
Mine is kinda self explanatory, I use stamps4fun53 on a yahoo group I belong to, the 53 is my birth year, I fell head over heals for stamping about 14 yrs ago, and have a small bedroom full of "stamping stuff" to prove it. I keep telling my hubby, when I retire, I won't have to buy much for my hobby, I already have enough. Ginny

My user name is not really clever. Alana is my granddaughter and she calls me nana....thus alanasnana. I love some of the user names here on SCS. Really creative.
We used to have a summer home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I used havasugramma as my user name, then one day someone asked me if it said Have A Stampin Up Gramma? I think it was perfect
If you hadn't said about the Stampin Up Gramma, it could also read...
Have a Sugar Mamma! hahaha
Well, I have cats and love to read so that was my email "prefix". From what I've seen I can't change it, but sure wish I could ... to something better matched with creativity and stamping!
