Since finding this site less than a month ago, it's been difficult to tear myself away. I'm new to stamping and all the info I've found here is unbelievable. I've learned so much already.
How do y'all find time to get stuff done around the house, get the kids fed (I just slipped into the library to post this while the kiddos are having lunch!!), make dinner....and stamp too? I'm a SAHM, but can't even find enough time to get some stamping done cuz I won't leave my computer! Help!! Think I'll need to set time limits for myself.

I get nothing done. My husband has told me that if I am not sitting in fromt of the compter on SCS then he is going to send out a search party because I must have gone missing.
This is way to addictive.... but SOOO much great information and such a great group of people.
I am also kind of new to the site and Ion my days off from work I am sitting infront of the computer listening to my kids tear the house apart....just hitting the refresh button and searching archives for more cool templates. The world could blow up and I would be still sitting here, hands perched over the keyboard ready to post an answer somewhere....
Do you think there is a group to help with this addiction?????
Some day they'll find me, gone after 93 years, slumped over my computer, with SCS on the screen, a mouse in one hand, a stamp in the other. It's futile to resist. Go with it.
I thought I was bad when I spent so much time on this site until I subscribed to the Dirty Dozen fan club gallery. All I needed was another mind-boggling set of samples and ideas. Now I hardly have time to sleep.
This thread really made me laugh. I have the same problem too! It's like "vicariously stamping". I'm a kitchen table stamper with a 4 yo and a 1 1/2 yo - both boys. So, for sure I don't get as much stamping done as I might like. It's good to know there are others who surf SCS more than they stamp too!
I can relate. I work full time, and I keep SCS minimized on my screen so that while I am on the phone (on hold) or waiting for the printer I am scanning around SCS to see what's new. Then at night I have to check it out to make sure I didn't miss anything. This site is a complete addiction! I figure it could be much worse!!!

Well I have "Me" time - Schedule is get up at 5am - Go to work until 3:00pm - Make supper and help kids with whatever. I take maybe an hour our two every night to either search the forum or stamp.
My youngest is 8 so my kids are out of the toddler or baby stage which would have been harder.
I love SCS! Can't imagine not checking out what's new even for a day. We are leaving to go skiing next week for spring break - I bought a Palm Treo just so I could access the internet!! How sick is that?!?!

Mommyof2 -- I just moved to Verona recently!! I haven't seen anyone else from Verona here!!
Are you guys going to the Milwaukee Gathering in May?
Oh yea... I'm addicted to. I was going crazy at work yesterday when the site was down.
It's funny because my demo doesn't have much time to surf here - so she'll tell me about something and I'll say -- yea the girls on SCS have said a lot about that. Or hey, I heard about this technique on SCS -- can you show me how to do it? She says I know more about stamping than she does.
We are not alone here,,,, are we... I am a SAHW - kid is grown,,,, no wait, maybe that makes me a stay at home let the dog out person. heck I dont know anymore,,,, but after reading these posts, i think i am going to have to either move this computer back up stairs in the stamping room or move the stamping room down here in the living room. Hummmmm, you know, that really does have possibilities, the more I think about it. The light is better down here for stamping. Husband will hate that,,,,,
I was going to ask if there was a 12 step program for this site. I just cannot stay away. I am almost as bad now as i was when I started on the computer in 97 and got into chat.

I think there is a twelve-stamp program to help with the addiction...Hi, my name is Beth and I'm a StampAHolic...I've gone 4 hours without looking at SCS...but that was because they were updating the site...

Sarah & Mommyof2... I am ALSO going to the Milwaukee gathering in May. I am SO excited about it. Now the fun part, coming up with my 2 cards to swap.
Look forward to seeing you there.... Mommyof2, you should see about coming, I have a feeling it will be a GREAT time!

I love this website and find myself tearing myself away from it. My friend that told me about it is always getting a phone call from me telling her she has created a monster and I am getting nothing done.
I'm glad your addicted too! I had to face my addiction yesterday when I was frustrated that the gallery wasn't working. Realizing that I should just get up and do something else was really hard!
I'm even worse this week because I'm off for spring break. So far, the only tihng I've done is stamped and SCS'd. I must do something productive! But who really wants to?
If I stamped as much as I was on here I would have tons of cards and gift made! I get so many ideas from here but never make them because I am on here! I get withdrawls If I miss one day of not checking this site out. I wish we had internet at work so I can go on here when I am slow...
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who spends more time on the computer than actually stamping. I have a ton of supplies that I haven't even touched yet. Just received another order today. Yea!!!

Since becoming a SAHM this past year, I find it difficult to fit everything in. Seems like I did better with my schedule when I was working full time, coaching volleyball, involved in church, and team mom.
I know what you mean about being addicted to this site. I sit here all night, sleep deprived just to catch up on all the going ons here.
My DH always says "If you want something done, give it to a busy person" (or something to that effect). So very true. I was much more productive when I was working full-time. You had to find a way to fit everything in. Now if something doesn't get done, I just shrug it off and figure it will get done eventually. Guess I need to tweak my time-management skills just a bit so eventually the boys and the dog get a bath.
