They were on clearance 1.00/ea. for the marvy uchida memory blender pen. I bought a bunch. Are they awful? I am wondering if I should return them and invest in another blender pen. Online I found the dove blender pen starter set, with extra tips and refill fluid. Should I return the M's one and buy this one instead? I am thinking after reading many posts that the Marvy one won't be worth while. Honest opinions please!, Thanks!!!
I bought the Marvy blender pens from Michael's and after using a blender pen from SU, I threw out the ones I bought from Michael's. There just is no comparison. The Marvy pens work well for a brief period; however, they do not last. SU pens last and last and last and the quality is fabulous. I am not a demo - only a customer. See what other's tell you. I am curious to see if anyone else feels the way I do.
I love my Dove Blender pen. (But I haven't tried any other brand.) I've had the same pen for about eight years. I've replaced the tip a few times and added fluid as needed.
Thanks! I returned the one's to M's. I am buying a Dove one until I can find a stampin' up rep near me (I think there will be one at my crop tomm. night) then I may purchase a set of there's as well. Thanks for the opinions!!! -Samantha
WAIT! Don't throw out those or take them back, let them dry out, then use them for making your own markers, especially with the in colors! I took my dried out ones, pulled out the large tip, dropped 25 drops of reinker into the barrel, put the tip back on, added 5 drops to each tip to get the flow going and VIOLA, markers in the in colors that I always have! Love it! Did cranberry crisp and cool caribbean, they work outstanding!

I would not trade those in for a Dove blender pen. As Julie HRR mentioned, the tip is clunky and breaks down really fast. Their blender fluid also seems a little oilier than other blender pens.
I think for $1.00 those pens were a great deal! Use them up, then move on to something else.
I have had SU's for years and years...the same 3 I purchased about 8 years ago (no kidding) and I have a Dove, which I hate! Seems I have to refill it about everytime I go to use it and as other have said, the tip is wonky. On one of my SU pens one end is dry, but there is still life in the rest of them (they have seen a lot of use over the years), the tips are all discolored (doesn't affect the performance), but the tips are all still nice and pointy. Go to the SU demo locator and find one near you....you won't regret it.

I know it's a touchy subject here at SCS, but if you can't find a demo near by I'm sure you could find the SU blender pens on ebay. I find they work better than anything I've ever bought at a store...
To find a Stampin Up demo near you, just go to their website (www.stampinup.com) and use the demonstrator locator to find a list of demo's near you (if you didn't meet one at your crop!) And I hated the M's blender pens, they work fine for a very short while then they dry up, and the fine point is too hard and breaks down the paper. Good luck!
