Does anyone out there in SCS land care to give me their honest opinion on their Z Becky Brown purse? Even though I have a Pursue your art purse that I LOVE - I think Iwant a ZBB one too - you can never have too many purses you know...but I want the truth about them! They look very cool - but how do you like carrying them? Is the hard acrylic body and rigid handle too cumbersome to deal with? Thanks for any input you can offer!
I have one, and made one for my mom. My mom carried hers everywhere, and did have issues with the handle. She stopped carrying it when I didn't make one for her that suited the season. I guess I should be a good daughter and do a new insert for her.
Personally, I carried mine for a week or so. It survived a plane trip to Portland, and my daughter dropping it down an escalator. It bump-bump-bumped without opening or cracking. For everyday use, though . . . I just couldn't deal w/the lack of organization inside. I prefer my little black purse that has just enough room for that stuff I NEED, and no extra room for the stuff I tend to collect. It makes a great decoration in my stamp room!
I have one and I am having problems with it. ZBecky has agreed to replace the entire purse for free. My mom also had problems with hers. The screws come loose and the from latch came off.
The company was very good about handling my complaint. I gave one to my girlfriend and she has not had any problems with hers.
If you get one, put clear fingernail polish on the latch screws, b/c they will come out. Also, don't hang on a bathroom hook in a public restroom, it will fall and crack...<voice of experience>
It's pretty awkward to carry (too bulky and hard), and there is no way to organize it very well (unless you do the cardboard inserts I've seen someone do on here).
That said, I still bought one, used it a month or so. Now, it's in the closet and sweetie reminds me about that sometimes!
If it were me, I'd buy stamps

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.
I ordered my Pursue Your Art Purse from their website. I did a search on MSN when I read a lady's input on them saying they "put the ZBB ones to shame". When I pulled it up and saw they they're vinyl (not hard plastic) and have a ball/chain shoulder strap that is ran thru a plastic tube - so it's comfy! That company has WONDERFUL service - I rec'd my order in 2 days and by the end of day 3 it was totally decorated. I've got pics on this site (but don't know how to do the "see my gallery link" at the bottom of my posts) and on theirs (in their customer gallery) -but if you go to Anything but a Card - and go into jewelry/handbags etc - you'll see my halloween display!

I get tons of compliments on mine when I carry it.
I have fun decorating it, but really for everyday use it's a little bit of a pain. The handle on the lid is (IMHO) a bad design. makes it complicated to make a quick move from the check out at the store. and since the way it's designed the handle isn't large enough or comfortable to sling over your arm when you have a lot of things to carry.
I like mine, but I'm hoping they will come up with a better design/style for more of a regular woman's regular day.
My mother recieved a purse for Christmas from my SIL that had pockets to put pics in. Another lady I worked with recieved a similar purse except it had a big 8x10 insert with a picture of her new grandchild. Her daughter and my SIL were both living in the US at the perspective times the gifts were recieved so I'm sure they were bought there. The rest of the purses were black leather and looked like an everyday purse. If you find something like that it would be another alternate idea instead of the Z Becky Brown purses.

I'm sorry to say, but I think they are the ugliest thing out there.
*runs and hides now*
I don't think they are ugly but I don't think they are for me. They kind of seem a little like a lunch box or similiar. I do LOVE what you all have with yours but I would rather use my big ugly purse that fits everything snugly.
I am a Pursue Your Arts fan myself.. they are the BEST! My zbecky is sitting on a shelf! It's just too impractical of a bag...although it is more formal, and I might still use it for those formal occasions... but it's just IMHO not worth the price... AND my Zbecky also broke...TWICE! pain in my butt!
i also saw the zbecky purses online on joann.com and if you sign up on their email list you can get coupons too! 40% off coupons online and offline too! then you can apply the coupon towards your very own..I think they are great!

I do love my ZBB, but I use it for storing my tools in when I go to craft clubs and crops, it works well for me and advertises my craft skills!
Last year I put a succession of my kids Christmas photos in my ZBB on the SU Holiday paper and took it to my husband's work Christmas party--very nice ice-breaker /conversation piece. Now it sits on a shelf waiting for this year's party. It's just too heavy and the handle keeps falling off. I have a small eyeglass screwdriver in it to tighten the screws ....I will have to try crystal effects.

I love my ZBB - I carry it everyday! Right now I have it decorated with my sons cross country pictures, cross country type stuff and the school colors- I get tons of compliments on it all the time. It does take some getting used to as far as carrying it around - it can get heavy while shopping. But I guess I love it enough that it doesn't bother me.

Honestly, I've never seen the point of carrying around a big, bulky box, but I'm one of those people that has a teeny, tiny purse...I don't feel the need to carry my house around with me! ;) :p

I do believe that JoAnn's stopped carrying them. I got mine there last fall. I had a friend who wanted one and could not find any the site.
I have had mine almost an year and carry it every day. I was a "suitcase" purse person before, but love to decorate mine enough to give it all up. I have it organized enough to fit in everything I need (and not the kids carry all!). I get lots of comments on it all of the time and it is a great ice breaker. As I have mentioned before it can second as a weapon if needed because it is heavy and sturdy. ;) I did loose a screw and my latch broke (not from lack of use) but ZBeccky was kind and replaced parts quickly!

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, so I shouldn't be laffin' quite this hard, but I am dyin'!!!!!!
I have one, but have never gotten around to creating inserts for it. I think the finished ones are beautiful, purse-onally, but, I must admit, I am unlikely to actually use it, even if I get it finished . . . it was definitely a green envy, impulse buy for me, but, hey--it's all mine . . . at least for now . . .

I have one and I LOVED it for a few months but then it fell, cracked the hinge off and is now sitting on a shelf storing who knows what (it happened so long ago I forgot what I put in it LOL).
I don't know if I'd ever buy one full price but I did like it when it wasn't broken!
I loved mine before it broke. The handle fell apart which made me drop it and one of the...ahem...balls fell off. Now the clasp won't stay closed so on my shelf it sits.
I did get mine 40% off at Joann's online. I'm still irked that it was that expensive and I had so much trouble with it.

Like JulieHRR, I just had to have one. Bought it for 40% off on Joann.com and have never done anything with it. It's still in the box. I saw something the other day with the new Halloween Designer papers that sparked me to finally dress it up. But alas... the spark is gone. I'm hoping to find that spark comes back before October 29th.
