Just wanted to share a tip with you hoarder's (like me) who hate to use up their designer paper:
I bought a 6x6 Basic Grey Pehaps Pad. I planned a card and chose the papers. I cut the bottom layer of my card which was a solid color 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. That left me with a strip to use for a scallop edge accent. Now I had nothing left of the sheet. But I also wanted to punch a MEGA OVAL from the same solid color. What to do? Since their are only 2 sheets of each paper, I could not bear to cut into the one remaining sheet. I realized that the center of the bottom layer was going to be covered by other paper anyway. I punched the mega oval right out of the center of the bottom layer. I assembled my card. The hole was covered and I happily saved my second sheet of paper for another day when I will agonize over cutting into it. LOL!!
I often cut out or use punches for the center of a layer that will be covered and save them for later use -- it also cuts down the "weight" of a multi-layer card.
That is a cool tip! I too, agonize over cutting and covering up decorative paper. Lately I have just been attaching the decorative paper on the insides of the cards and then writing my message on it. Then at least the only thing on the beautiful paper is my handwriting.
Just think of it as being enviromenatlly friendly too! Stretch each paper to the limit! I do the same with scraps and whatnot. If I have a piece of paper that I've used on a Cricut or cut in an funny shape, I'll either trim it down to a usable shape or take a small punch and punch out as many pieces as I can and just save them for later.

I knew you ladies would understand. By the way, I also save small (and I mean tiny) scraps of paper. I punch little circles, daisies, etc. with them. Also, the scraps fit over my cuttlebug dies. Now, what am I going to do with all these circles, daisies and die-cuts?????
