I saw that store sign over Christmas, I have a girlfriend who lives just up the street she will be thrilled! I'm also interested in the new store in the south...scrapyard, where is it???? thanks
I'm bumpin here -- in the neighborhood too so what to keep tabs on the new store and on a possible SCS card day??? I'll be watching for more details. Thanks for all the good details.
It was SO great to meet Jen today... I'm one of her stalker axe murdering internet friends apparently.
Hopefully the debit/credit card thing will be up today
AND Basic Grey should be delivered today...
Hi Nancy:
I'm hoping the debit machine is up when I go. LOL I rarely carry cash these days. I'm kinda OC right now about looking for a good stamp pad holder. So I'm wondering if Scrapbook Pantry has any. ;)
I am famous Shannon? Ha! I would be interested in a get-together of Calgary stampers...I am hooked up to most of you on this thread via blog-o-land but it is neat to see so many local "Cal-gals" here!
And since I am an enabler extraordinaire (but nowhere near that of m'lady Nancy), here are the addresses you may be looking for:

Hey Calgary girls,
Don't know if you are aware, but Carole at Paper Pastimes is demoing the Scor-it on Saturday at 1 p.m. Just bring a pencil and a ruler. This is a free demo. Oh, she just got in a bunch of stamps....wow....there are so many, my head was spinning. She has some that are on single sheet of rubber which you then apply to E-Z-mount. There are 27 images in the Victorian set I bought for 26.95. Great price for all those images, which all are a good size. Nothing tiny.

Canyon Meadows & Lake Fraser Drive. Here's a google map; the store is actually just above the green arrow, on the inside corner of that "L-shaped" building. HTH
bumping for Scor-it at Paper Pastimes for anyone near to or coming to Calgary on Saturday.
(not affiliated with Paper Pastimes....just know lots of people interested in these new scoring tools....Carole, the owner is considering carrying the Scor-Pal as well.)
I sent Carole a video of the "Crafter's Companion". It is the Scor-it with another piece called The Enveloper. Looks really cool. From the UK, just released in the States. Maybe we will get it in about 5 years!
Thanks for the information, I look forward to checking out the 2 new stores. As for paper pastimes, I have been in there a few times, & have bought most time, but unfortunately I will not return. I have had bad experiences a few times while in there...I get the feeling that they don't think that I'm their target market. It really is too bad, but I feel my business and dollars are more welcomed at stores like Scrapbookers Bliss, & Scrapbookers Paradise.
I had no idea Live and Learn toys was gone! New toys for me!!! Kinda ironic - I used to be a Discovery Toys consultant and the man in brown was known as the Toyman to my kids - he brought us toys. Now I'm an SU! demo and brown brings toys for mommy! Funny that the toystores are turning into toystores for moms too!!! Can't wait to check it out!
Calgary Stampers! That is pretty close to your Canadian professional football team, the Calgary Stampeders! Congressman Jack Kemp was the quarterback of the team many moons ago. He then went to the San Diego Chargers and then the Buffalo Bills. I was a Jack Kemp fan and so was a Calgary Stampeder fan of sorts.
Hi Robin, Christine.... I was hoping one of you would pop on here and give us possible dates for this summer's Calgary Classic get together. I am hoping the dates work better for me this year than last. I'm also watching for the Edmonton dates to be revealed...
Hi everyone else. Enjoy your new store!! I'm so jealous!!!! I live waaaayyy too far to take advantage of it!! You should all go buy a few hundred dollar's worth of stuff for me !! heheheh LOL
Hello everyone,
My daughter and I went to this new store yesterday. What fun! Bought some basisgrey paper and the $ .25 brad holder and some bulk brads. That's a good idea. I hope someone puts the date of the Calgary Classic on this thread--I would love to attend as well.

Stamp-eding is fun.
It's now been a few months since this store opened, and I REALLY hope this one sticks around! They have some beautiful stuff, different from the other stores - I especially love their paper. They bring in new stuff weekly, and I love that they have dog stuff! The staff is fantastic, they're so friendly and always take the time to chat. I'm in love with the Pantry!
