I discovered that some of my Stampin' Spots are leaking all over the place!!! I went to put in different containers and found that the ones that had been opened leaked all over the lids and sides. What should I do? The containers look really yucky now and I have no idea what I can do about cleaning them up and if there is enough ink to even stamp with (I was afraid to try stamping when I found the mess). I have stopped storing them upside down until I figure out what I can do. Any suggestions or advice would sure be welcome. TIA
I have a few that have done this and was wondering what was up. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for any suggestions.

Oops! I accidently posted what I ment to quote. Kurtis is right. I always check to see if my spots have developed stray strings before I put the lid on. If you trim these they won't leak. I've also been told that the strings develop when you rub them on your stamps instead of patting. I've been told rubbing is a no no but I still prefer to do that so I just check for strings. Hope this helps.
I had the same problem with the strings causing the pads to link. I was also told by Stampin' Up! not to store the spots upside down (I called to report a spot that arrived dry and mentioned that I'd tried to store it upside down to get the ink flowing.) I hope trimming the strings helps! I know it doesn't help with the mess or any damaged labels but at least the pads should still work!

That is what I think happens too. I love that the craft spots don't do that.
I have also had the spots leak because the paper labels got stuck between the top and bottom of the container and the ink kind of wicked out onto the paper. Now I always trim the labels even with the top lid and I have been fine. Keep your strings trimmed, too. I just LOVE my spots for travel and for backgrounds.

help please
Some of mine are now leaking...agter over a year of having them... I always watch the threads and I do not store upside down... no paper caught inside of lid... but it sure is frustrating...not to mention messy looking... I have had the top layer of a spot actually peel off too... no idea why...
If it ruined the cardboard cases they were sent in I saw in another thread that all 4 family spots fit in a large SU container that the BG stamps come in.
