Help needed - experience with stamps from a special company
Hello,
while searching on ebay I found a Stamp company from New Zealand.
Wonderful Retro and Vintage clear stamps and unbeatable low shipping costs to germany.
But I never saw cards made with these stamps so I`m unsure about the quality.
Has anyone of you ever used stamps from flonzcraft?
I know that they have been sponsors for some of the challenges here - certainly HYCCT for the last two years...So I'd be surprised if there weren't a few cards in the galleries. They also had a banner ad here recently, I remember noticing it.
A search brings these up: flonz - Homemade Cards, Rubber Stamp Art, & Paper Crafts - Splitcoaststampers.com
It's likely if you tried sending a pm to one of the people who has uploaded here, they'd let you know about the stamps. I see lazylizard has a few cards - I'm sure she'd answer for you!
They're up on Amazon U.S., and they are gorgeous! But when I saw they were in New Zealand and had to figure in shipping . . . well, you know how that is. . . . We have great stamp companies in the U.S., but none I've found with that wide, wide range of images and such interesting ones. Viva Las Vegas and 100 Proof Press come close, but can't match this!
100 Proof Press and viva las vegas have some nice stamps but most are not available here in germany. So I have to order in the USA and have to take care of the prizes because of the TAX (VAT?) Under 22 € ($23) we don`t have to pay but more than 22€ (shipping included) we have to pay 7% - 19% Tax .. depents on the product.
I have purchased a lot of stamps from Flonzcraft through eBay and have always been very pleased with their service and quality. Just be aware they are made of an orange type material. And if you buy sheets of stamps, you have to cut them apart and sometimes the stamps are very close together and it can be a little tricky.
A YouTube review (the comment under the video explains about the initial odor and the instruction to wash the stamps before use (I never washed mine LOL before using them.....):
My favorite is and will always be rubber, but there are definite advantages to clear, especially ease of placement. It was not always the case, but there are so many quality clear/polymer stamps available now...
I have about 50% rubber and 50% clear. Lately with Stampin Up when there is an option for rubber cling vs. polymer, I have been opting for the polymer for the better price point.

After watching the videos I must say I will order for sure! Cutting out seems to be not as difficult as I thought first. Maybe if there is only small room betwenn the stamps it will be a litte "fummelich" (german slang for complicated)
