Hey everyone! I was wondering if all of you awesome stampers could help me come up with some ideas for fundraisers to do for a charity that my family raises funds for annually! The fundraising will be for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and the annual walk is in September, so I complete all of my fundraising by the middle of September.
Any ideas would be appreciated! I'm looking for stamping events I could hold that may be prosperous for fundraising (I am an SU demo). Ideas for my children to do to fundraise (they are girls, ages 8.7, and 4) . Any and all ideas would be awesome, as i'm overwhelmed at the moment and drawing complete blanks!
You could do something simple in your local schools colors, or mascot. Maybe magnets, or even something bigger like clipboards, name frames with team name, or picture frames. School stuff is always popular. Notebooks and paper covered pencils are great too! You could stamp on small tiles and glue magnets on the back. For a shower I did that then glued a clothes pin to the back with ribbon for a photo holder or recipe holder. Good luck!
Could you host a crop somewhere? Then you could have people pay to attend, do make and takes and maybe some raffles. Maybe you could get some demos from other companies also. They could pay for a table rental and then do make and takes also. Stampers and scrapbookers are always looking for get togethers.

I like the crop idea, those are always fun to go to and if its charity, even more fun. Also, I'm not a demo, but could you host a party at the same time, with part of the proceeds going to the charity?? The proceeds being your cut (if that's how that is done through SU).
Check out some of the cookie dough fundraiser companies - they are easy to do, and the girls could be involved there. You could sell them at any of your events. Many pizza places also do fundraisers. I've found that all you have to do is ask and many business will donate stuff for your cause. Hold a rummage sale - many people would love to donate but can't afford money donations - but they sure do love to give stuff laying around away - and it's 100% profit!
To go along with the school ideas, your kids could make those ribboned hair ties that are so popular. My daughter has made both the ones with short ribbons to go around buns and those with four to six longer ribbons to go on pony tails. They are inexpensive and easy to make. She made more a dozen for the girls in the ballet class she assisted in and a couple for her kindergarten buddies in an evening. All the girls loved them and couldn't wait to wear them.
I know this isn't a stamping project, but it is easy and fun for kids.

Oh my Word! This is what i'm talking about! These ideas are AWESOME and I love that I can use some of them to get my girls involved. They really want to do something to raise some money for our cause, but at their ages, they cannot do things like mow lawns or walk large dogs, etc. Keep the ideas coming, I was drawing a blank and you all are inspiring me so much with these awesome ideas! I cannot thank you enough!
I have never seen a fundraiser where people wouldn't spend a couple of bucks for homemade snack bags, like freezer quart bags STAMPED and filled with chex mix, monster mix, and other snack type bags.
How about T shirts, they are very cheap at AC Moore and the kids could stamp them. Or make a name frame and raffle off, like a welcome sign or school name or offer to make personalized with the themes of the stamps you have. OOOH how about Christmas ornaments, the glass slides or the clear balls made with the reinkers! I took my baby food jars and stamped a paper to wrap around and filled with jelly beans for kids at school. Good luck!
How about a penny drive where the kids could decorate empty pringles cans and collect pennies? Usually some people would also give cash or more than just pennies.

My choir did a free car wash when I was in high school. We got pledges from people, they pledged a certain amount of money they would donate per car, we kept track of how many cars we washed and then collected the money. It turned out really great since the drivers didn't have to pay anything to get their car washed we had a lot more people come through than if we had charged a dollar a wash or something. Plus, we earned a lot more money per car because we had lots of pledges. For smaller kids you could scale that down, have them make some little inexpensive decorations and get people to pledge money for each item they give out.
