I'm almost done making a 'cake' for a girl at work. But I'm stuck on two accounts. I need to somehow make some small paper roses in cream color and here's the catch - I only have one rose stamp from Hand Painted Petites and I don't have any cream colored ink, only cream colored paper. Also, the thing stands about 6 1/2 inches high, so I need to figure out an inexpensive way to get this to her. She's getting married in October (yeah, I know - that's a ways off but we are contractors and have no idea when our assignment will be ending).
Any ideas will be considered. I don't have much money to spend, but I do have time to make something with what I have.
Thanks in advance!

Have you considered making quilled folded paper roses? If you do a search on Google, you should be able to find directions. I saw instructions once where you draw a swirl on paper, cut it out on the line, and tighten it back into a rose shape. I'll search and post the link if I find an example....
I'm glad you found those. I was going to give you a link to folded rose instructions, but I didn't want to assume you have the slotted quilling tool. It took me a while before I was personally satisfied with the folded roses I made when I first started. The trick for me was to hold the strip tight and kind of curve the tool to follow the fold. You can probably find a video on youtube to clarify.
You can also use the slotted tool to make the spiral rose I referred to, however it's not necessary. Good luck with your project. Please post a link when you finish.

The thing that helped me is that I recently tried to make a rose out of TP which gave me a basic understanding of using the quilling tool. The TP rose tutorial is here:
That is a great idea for larger roses! I will have to keep that in mind! Those instructions are much better than what I found and they make a lot more sense. Thank you!
