HELP-----I'm running out of time

Every year , I make picture frame Christmas ornaments of my grandkids. This year I wanted to try and use the window sheets and glass balls. I have the balls, bought the window sheets, managed to get 3 good pics of the little munchkins but now i have no idea what to do. Do I print on the window sheet? If so what do I set my printer on? I can't find a setting for transparencies. I was looking through the galleries and seen someone that photocopied on the window sheet, but that still leaves me with the question of what to set the printer on. Does the ink not smear? I have tried printing on shrinky dink and that did not dry and so it all smeared. I had asked the lady at the scrapbooking place and she said I should have put it on the transparency setting. So what do you do if there is no setting? Or in my case, not being able to find it. Thank you for any help anyone can give me.

I don't think there is such a setting on most printers. As far as I know, you run the transparency thru as you would any paper but be careful not to handle the side with the ink as it will take some time to dry after printing. I think you might be able to use a heat gun, holding it far enough away so as not to distort the transparency but facilitate drying.

If you go to file, print, a box should show up. If you click on preferences there should be a box that says "Type is:" Under the drop down list you should see Transparency film. At least that's how it is on my computer. If you don't have a transparency setting, I would try a photo setting. Good luck!

I've had good luck printing on vellum. The image transfers well. I taped a transparency sheet to a piece of regular paper. It went thru the printer ok, but the quality wasn't as good as with the vellum. I also have stamped w/stazon on transparency and colored with paint pens. That worked very well, granted its not going to help you with kids pictures, but maybe hobbies or sports theme would work. Both vellum and transparency roll up well to slip into the glass ornament. Just make sure you leave enough of a "tag" at the top so it stays put. I leave it extra long and just cut across the top with a scissors. Have fun, Peggy
