Karen,
One of the best ways to increase visits to your blog is to visit others and leave a comment for them. They will then visit yours and comment to you as well. I guess it's kind of blog manners? I've become very friendly with some others that way.
What a cute blog! Now, a word of advice...don't feel like you have to post to your blog everyday, or you will resent it. Blog when you feel like it, you want it to be something that you want to do and is fun to do.

Don't worry about that cause I won't have time to post everyday....
Thanks for the tips that are here. I am going to be gone all morning, but I am hoping some one can guide me in the right direction. I did begin a blog, which I said I would never do. I only want it as a place to "park" some of my challenge cards - my computer seems to have a glitch that sometimes really slows me down in my SCS gallery.
Two things (among others) I cannot seem to figure out on blogger...
- how to find a graphic for the title
- how to create a link to other blogs
(I did click on the box at the top of an entry, and can link the title, but not the addresses within the text.)
Thanks for the help!
BTW, the link with my signature is not my current blog. I need to remove it, I think.

Are you using blogger? If so highlight the text that you want to link and click the link button. A smaller box will appear for you to put the URL in. Insert the URL and click the ok button and it will link the text. For the title (header) I used a picture of my own. There are lots of tutorials on creating a header. Here is just one: How To Make a Blog Header for Free | | Blissfully DomesticBlissfully Domestic If you google create free blog header you will get lots of hits. Good luck!

Really...I had no idea what I was doing when I added my header. I found a free link...you can find it on my blog....saved it onto my desktop and added it that way...don't know if that helps??

Wow...thanks so much for the link to creating the blog header....I am learning sooooo much!!
Hi Karen, so glad you joined the blogging world as I am a BIG fan of your work. I started blogging nearly 2 years ago when I joined a DT. I usually post twice a week and say that in my Blog Sidebar just so that people know I am not a daily blogger.
As you are with Blogger, may I suggest a couple of helpful websites for tips and information? Blogger has hiccups sometimes (like all blog hosts) and if you can't figure out why you suddenly can't log in or you get a funny error message, plus you can find out information on new things that Blogger are doing or stuff you can add to your blog as you become more familiar with the processes, this can be helpful. Note the first 2 are specific Blogger blogs and they are there to tell you the latest news/problems etc. Hopefully the SCS Mods won't delete my links!
The first: Blogger Buzz gives you news on what the latest new things they are doing with Blogger blogs.
The second is: Blogger Status which gives you the latest news on any problems or difficulties that have arisen - much like the nightly news on TV except of course, it isn't daily - just when something goes awry.
The other blog I am recommending is extremely helpful in giving you tips and tricks and has plenty of info on many topics: The Real Blogger Status It is not run by blogger but is awesome for technical info - yes, much of it can be quite technical but there are lots of topics about simple stuff too like SPAM comments that you will sometimes get. I personally had to stop allowing ANONYMOUS comments because I was getting tons of spam comments which drove me mad in deleting them. But that was just my blog and other bloggers may not have that same problem. Just do whatever works for you.
There is also a Blogger Help Forum where you can search for answers to a particular problem you have (often other bloggers have the same issues) or ask a question yourself and hopefully a computer guru will come to your aid.
I like more pictures, less words, so I quit blogging and started a facebook page for my cards. It's nice to have all the pictures there in one place too.
Thanks so much to everyone for all the ideas and tips. I was able to take care of a couple of concerns, and now I have more! I will go to the sites listed above to see if I can find the answers. In the meantime...
I cannot figure out how to "use" the follower gadget. I have added it, but it is not clickable. How can I see/list the names of followers?
And what to do if I am a follower of another blog?
I don't create that many cards and my main hobby is needlework. A blog would be just another thing to have to fuss with or think about! I'm dragging my feet on getting an updated cell phone for the same reason. Mine is so plain, it doesn't even take photos.
