I wish I had a 50% Michaels coupon! I am VERY slowly getting the shelves and drawer dividers and hanging files I need to fill up my nice Store-In-Style cabinets I got for Christmas. It's so hard to only buy one or two pieces a week!

I have a ton of flimsy cardstock.. I used it to make quick gift boxes. those dec. scissors, and many others. BUT.... I have found a way to use some of that stuff or get rid of it. I pass it on to another crafter. or some of my gf and I do tool swap. we keep the tools for a montha at a time and switch to a never used or hardley ever used tool the next month

Awesome thread! I was going to buy the Primsacolor 200 gazillion pencil set with my 40% off and gift card but instead just purchased four I needed for two images I'm currently working on. And at $1.09 each, I'll just buy the colors I need instead of the sets so I don't have colors unused.

My list includes:
CM templates, some never opened
Tons of patterned paper and slabs
Punches
Stickers (thanks for the suggestion of donating them to the school!)
Tiny tiny alphabet stamps
Quickutz dies

This has been great. I have bought many of the same things you have. Some things I've had for years and haven't even used yet. Other things I've tried but haven't mastered it. I'm really looking more closely at things and not doing so much impulsive buying. I'm not buying stamping books anymore since there are so many good ideas here. After hearing the comments on the blade runner I took it back to the store along with the glass mat. $25.00 yeh. I'm also giving away or selling things I'm sure I won't be using. My craft room is overflowing. It will be nice to have room for things so I won't have to move something to get at what I want. This has been very encourageing. Thanks to you all. Also very funny.

WAY too much stuff to mention ... stuff that I HAD to have ... I must say one of them though is the Marvey LePlume markers, wish I had gone for SU markers and not wasted my money. I am purchasing the SU markers for SAB this month, thanks to this website.

- Fiskar's dry embossing templates (why would somebody with carpal tunnel even think of using this?): although I saw somebody here used them with a brayer to make backgrounds...
- Tidy tray from Archivers: the powders still stick to it even when I use my embossing buddy. Now I put my powders in Tupperware containers and tap the powder right back in.

Red face Coupons

It's those doggone coupons that make us crazy people. With the 50% off coupon at Michael's yesterday, I wandered around looking for the most expensive thing I could find that I really, really wanted. It was ridiculous, but I didn't want to waste the coupon!
In the end, I bought an Anna Griffin alphabet set. It wasn't too expensive, and I hope I don't regret it!

Oh good, I'm not the only one who does that! =)

Hello,

I regret buying the Making Memories magnetic Date stamp, because I never use it. It was very expensive if you compared with another date stamps.

I bought at the beginning a lot of cardstock for scrapbooking. I regret that also, because the photos doesn't fit to the cardstock. Now I take the photos to the shop and buy cardstock what fit to the photos.

After reading this I can see the things that I probably won't be buying. I am relatively new to stamping and believe it or not I love the glitter. I find it put that little extra on my cards. I do have some stamp sets though that I wished that I never bought and like the rest of you I do have things from Michael's that I don't really like any more. The big stamps that they have are so pretty but they are a pain to use.

Thanks so much for sharing. It has opened up my eyes as what not to buy.

I have 4 cutters and not 1 of them cuts accurately! The Fiskars background plates stink too. Does Fiskars make anything worthwhile?
