Default Handmade Cards for Amish Families

I apologize if this has already been posted. I thought some people here might want to participate in sending handmade cards to the Amish families affected by last week's school shooting in Pennsylvania. Lisa Bearnson, founder of Creating Keepsakes magazine, has set up a PO box in Intercourse, PA to receive these cards. The complete information is on her blog:

http://www.lisabearnson.com/blog/

I'm sure that your beautiful handmade cards would be so appreciated and bring a little comfort to these families.

This is a very nice idea, Marcy. Interesting blog, too. Thanks for sharing it!

Remember, the Amish women lik to display and trade these cards IF they are "appropriate" to their culture. You may want to stick with nature themes and scripture verses.

Thank you for sharing. I will send out a card today. This particular tragedy has been hard for me to deal with. I am amazed by the immediate response of forgiveness of this community. What an inspiration.

Thank you for sending a card. I agree, the fortitude of the Amish community is inspiring. They even insisted a fund be set up for the shooter's children and widow.
