I made a few of these treat pockets last year for Halloween for a few special friends. Flat candy bars, like Kit Kat or Hershey's, fit nicely. My nieces got Halloween pencils and a candy bar. My friends got a professional-grade nail file and a candy bar. Here's another sample.
You could also make these party favors with Halloween paper. They will hold a mini candy bar or other "bite-sized" Halloween candy like those mini packets of Skittles, or 5-6 Hershey's kisses. You have to scroll to the end of the tutorial to see the finished product.
Do you have a turorial or dimensions for these? They are absolutely adorable!!!

I do have some written instructions and photos, but I can't find my template so I need to either update the instructions or make a new template. I'll try to work on that this weekend and will post something for you when it's done.
GinaK shared a halloween treat pouch tutorial with her one of her new stamp sets on her blog ealier this morning. Check it out here. Be sure to scroll down to the part 2 of her post.
I love what she did. Now I need to order those stamps and start working.
Too cute!!!
Here are a few treat boxes of mine. The first was for Valentine's Day but you could easily change it to Halloween. I made them for halloween in a smaller version for my daughter's class but no photos. The second one is a tote box that I made for halloween for her class another year.

I really love the sleeves you made for the flat candy bars. I'm going to have to try that idea.

I would love to have a copy of the template. I really want to make those.
Thanks in advance!!!
there are some ideas in the paper crafts book for halloween treats. thought I would just share that information. Got my book yesterday. lots of nice ideas on here. cant wait to try some of them.
I wouldn't recommend making these for all trick-or-treaters, but I think these will be the party favors for guests at our pumpkin carving party this year. I foud the jars at IKEA -- they were 4 for $2.99. http://stampwithdiane.blogspot.com/2...y-project
I'm off to work, but I want to finish reading this when I get home! I had forgotten about sour cream containers! I will have to make some of those for the nieces and nephews!

I've seen small jars like this at M. They are $19.99 for (I think) 20 or 24 (do-able with a coupon). I saw on her blog that Lauren Meader has decorated some of these for birthday goodies.
LOVE all of your ideas. I've had mine planned for a while now. I think/hope my order comes in tomorrow and then I'll be busy. Once I'm done and figure out how to post a photo I'll share.
I recently created a cute little Triangle Treat Bag that's great for parties and such. I've posted a tutorial on my blog if anyone's interested Halloween Triangle Treat Bag

Of course we're interested! Thanks so much for sharing this. I left a message on your blog but have a question that perhaps is easier to answer here.
In the instructions for this treat bag, it looks as if everything is simply taped down. So you don't actually "open" the treat bag to get to the goodies, right? You just pull the bag of treats out from the side? Does it ruin the container when you do that?
i know I've gotten so many ideas here, i want to do them all lol.
i even went to go buy some hallowween stamps the other day, just to see what i can make using the tutorials posted here ;)

I'm feeling very blonde this morning.
That's a good question!!
I added it to my blog post, I hope you don't mind
I recommend using small pieces of sticky strip in the top right and left hand corners of the cello bag, so that it secures it to the cardstock, but not so much that recipients won't be able to pull it out from the side.

I do mind. I mind terribly. In fact, I mind so much I'm calling da cops! ;)

As promised--instructions, template and photos to make these treat pockets. Sorry that the template is kinda rough looking. I can't find my original so I quickly made another one and in the middle of scanning it, my computer froze up on me. ARGH!

Part 2 of Treat Pockets.
More photos using real cardstock and patterned paper.

Correction...the price is 9.99 and the kit does make 6 treat sacks.
I bought the kit with my 40% off coupon, and, guess what, there are supplies to make 12, not 6 as the box says. So . . . cool, got 12 for 40% off the original. Was worth it to me not to have to find twigs and shred the ends of the bags - Love the results. Here:

Oriental trading company has some cute little toys- there's things like plastic skeletons, mini coloring books, pencils, tons of stuff.....
I haven't read this thread yet (but I will!) but last year for my kids classmates I made treats using coffee filters that I saw on Nichole Heady's blog. Just put some treats in a baggie, lop off the top then wrap a decorated coffee filter around it. They turned out so cute!
SO cute! Hope you don't mind a copycat! What a perfect non-food treat!!! I know as a parent I'd appreciate something fun to play with and sugar-free...there'll be plenty of other sweets to be had. Thanks for the AWESOME tutorial!

Do think "flubber treats" would be appropriate for 3/4 year olds?
Yes, but I would recommend watching them and make sure they don't eat it. LOL Some 4 year olds follow directions better than others KWIM? LOL It doesn't smell like food, but you never know. LOL
My girls (8 and 10) love to sit at the table and grab misc kitchen utensils like my pizza cutter, cookie cutters, rolling pin etc and "make stuff". LOL They really enjoy it and it doesn't stick to everything, so I don't mind them doing it. Think of it kinda like play doh.
