This may sound like a dumb question ... but ...
Why do you make Halloween cards? Who do you send them to and why? One of my customers asked me this the other day ... and since I have NEVER made a Halloween card, I didn't have an answer for her.
But I knew where to go to get an answer! ;)
Good question! I love the Halloween sets soooo much and I make the cards and then here they sit. Luckily, I did get a job at a preschool so I have at least 18 people who will love getting a card made with the Booglie Eyes set!
I don't know? I love the a lot of the Holloween sets, they are really cute. We live way out in the country on a private road and I haven't had a trick-r-treater in over 10 years!
Do some of you see Holloween cards to family or friends??

Karen, I too live waaay out in the country area. Up a long dirt road so, needless to say we don't get any trick-or-treaters either. I LOVE Halloween so, I am drawn to the Halloween sets too and have wondered "why should I buy them?" Besides being able to use them on scrapbook pages, what else could I do? I guess you could make cards to send as decorations for people. I dunno what else....
Definetly send Halloween cards to family, especially the children in the family, as well as co-workers, teachers, childcare givers. And the Stamps are awsome for scrapbooking with too. And if you decide to have a Halloween party, voila invitations.
I use mine to make treat-bag toppers for my kids' classmates.

Why did she make things? Well, she enjoyed it, of course; it also somehow helped her remember who she was and where she came from.
We live away from family so I always make Halloween cards for my Nieces and Nephews and include a $5 gift card from McDonalds. They love them. I always got Halloween cards as a kid but that was cuz it is my Birthday, so I always got the combination Halloween and birthday card. :-)

I make them and send them to my kids and grandkids. There are three of us here in the office who stamp and they make halloween cards and send to all of their relatives. I think its also a way of showing off your talent.

I'm with all the other who live out in the counrty and don't get T or T'ers, but I buy the Halloween sets every year! I love them FAR more than most of the Christmas ones! But Halloween is my favorite holiday!
I decided to make Halloween cards this year. It's my favorite holiday and there are so many fun stamp sets. For me, it's just going to be another fun way to celebrate a holiday I enjoy!
I use the Halloween images for scrapbooking. I use some for little cards for my son to take to school when he was little. I guess sending a card to an adult friend would be a fun way to say hi.

I use them to make goodies for my kids to take to school for their parties and my boys love to "help" make cards and send to the grandparents. I was so happy to see Booglie Eyes, perfect for little toppers for parties at school!!!
I love Halloween, and I make cards. Mostly for me, because they make me smile.
However, I have a 4-year-old nephew and 1-year-old niece, not to mention my cousin's 3-year-old twin girls... All of them LOVE getting cards with spiders and witches and other Halloween things all over them. So every now and again, I actually DO send a Halloween card!
I send them to say hi to people and to give them something to look forward to in the mail every once and a while. I send easter cards as well and some might question why bother? I just enjoy creating and sharing.
Halloween's my favorite! I send to my nieces and nephews and my girlfriends children. We also have an adult costume party every year so I make the invitations.
I enjoy Halloween cards more than Christmas cards but that's probably because the season isn't quite as busy.
Gee, maybe I should start my Christmas cards now. . . . NAH!
I agree with Beth -- I find that Halloween cards are more fun than Christmas cards. Maybe it's because there is less pressure and I'm making fewer of them. I send about 20 Halloween cards to friends and family. Why? Because I'm a stamper
I love sending halloween cards and even bought them to send before I started making cards. I have a list of friends and a few relatives and I send cards for all major holidays to the list...I love knowing I brought a surprise in the mailbox to them and maybe a smile to their face. And besides, if I didn't make them and send them I'd have no excuse to buy all those cute sets!
If I need to send something along in the mail, such as a cheque, or even a note to the teacher, permission slip, etc, I will pop it in one of my cards and send it that way. I figure, I had to send it (cheque, whatever) anyway, so why not use one of my cards.
I also make toppers for candy bags etc for DD's friends and teammates.
I LOVE Halloween, it's my favorite holiday so I send cards out to family and friends, cause they love it too! It's also a good excuse to make cards for everyone
Because I LOVE halloween, I make them and send them to family and friends. It's all selfish really-so I can make halloween cards! My best friend was deployed last year, so I sent her like 3 different cards....I couldn't resist!
Oh I absolutely looooooooove Halloween!!! So all you girls who make cards and might not know what to do with them, you can send them my way...just be sure they say "Happy Birthday" on them too though...;)
Yup...a Halloween baby here! Funniest thing was when I started working where I currently work, one of the girls I work with also shares the same birthday! We hadnt ever met too many others who were Halloween babies

I just love to get mail. Period. And I don't think anyone else minds when there's a card tucked in among all the bills and catalogs. So I figure Halloween is just another excuse to send someone something to let them know you're thinking about them...
I just started stamping this year so this will be my first Halloween, but I've already made a few cards. The stamps were just way too cute, & since I'm in the RAK group I know I'll be sending them to people who will appreciate & enjoy them!!
I also plan on using them for treat bag toppers. With one in preschool (where I also teach) & one going into second grade, I think the kids will love them!!!
I make them for the girls in my stamping group. There's 6 of us, so for holidays and such we make cards and mail them to each other. My MIL, SIL, and upline are in the group and live close by. I told them I could just drive by and drop them off. They said that it's so much nicer to receive cards in the mail, which I totally agree with.
I send them to family and friends. Last year I made a shaker card with the Web Wishes set, and people at work loved it so much that I got a lot of orders and actually made enough $$ to pay for the set! Don't know what I'll do this year, but I am liking the new sets!
Halloween cards are a blast to make! They don't have to be "pretty", and you can use lots of glitter & stickles & embellishments--anything goes! I always enjoyed Halloween as a child, so making and sending these fun cards makes me feel like a kid again! ;)
Now that I think about it--I've never made a halloween card to send out just to say "Happy Halloween". I've done lots of party invites, party thank yous, tons of treat bags with and without toppers, tableclothes, cups (gosh I love stazon). DTSTAMPZ--you're right about feeling like a kid again. I also love making all the spooky treats that go along with the party too.
I love to send Halloween cards to my nieces and nephews, even my mom. Everyone loves to get mail. I have also used it to stamp treat bags for preschool and do my daughter's scrapbook pages. Booglie Eyes is my favorite this year. I also like Trick or Treat and Halloween backgrounds from past years (still availbale in this year's catalog).
Happy Stamping!
Stacy
I use them to make treats for my co-workers at Halloween ('cause you can use "loose" candy etc. and they'll eat them because they know where they came from - can't do that for the trick or treaters.) I also use them to decorate a non-candy item that I give out at Halloween (last year it was "boo bubbles" - I bought boxes of wedding bubbles and decorated them with Halloween paper and hung little tags off halloween coloured curling ribbon...they turned out super cute!) I like to give a toy at the door as well as candy for the children that can't eat the candy due to diabetes or an allergy etc.
I love Halloween too! I send cards to my family and neices and nephews. This year my SIL is in Iraq and I've sent her a note asking if she thought her fellow service men and women would like a bunch to send home to their families too. So far haven't heard, but I am keeping my fingers crossed cause I love to make them!
I made Halloween cards for the same reason I made Valentine's, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards - it's fun and a great excuse to mail stuff to friends/family.
I use my Halloween sets to make bag toppers and teacher gifts, little lunch box notes, and all sorts of things. I've been room mother for my son's class and sometimes I make things for that too.

I have never made Halloween cards since I only started stamping this year so Halloween hasn't come yet! But since I have fallen in love with stamping and there are some CUTE new Halloween sets, I think i'll be making Halloween cards this year, any reason to stamp, right??
