Had the pleasure of meeting a sweet SCS member today!
Today Sue (gregsgurl) and her daughter April came to stamp at my house with a couple of my longtime stamp friends. Sue brought crazy birds to stamp with and if I remember correctly they never made it to the ink pad...lol. A wonderful time was had by us all and I am looking forward to really stamping with Sue in the near future. Its so cool to meet someone here and then get the pleasure of their company in the real world! I am always happy to add to my circle of stamping friends if anyone else in Vegas would like to get together to stamp. Oh, you can take a lot of stuff home too!
Amber is not kidding when she says "you can take stuff home with you" - I actually doubled my paper stash, and April took nearly as much, and I don't think we made a dent. Amber has more fun toys and papers and stamps and dogs and friends and a perfectly pleasant DH who was happy to help us carry things out to our car
April was beyond thrilled (so was I) and kept saying how fun it was (which was true). She made her very first card today, and it's adorable! Used three different papers on it, even... I'll post a pic in my gallery when I get it photographed and uploaded.
My only regret is that DH and I have to share a car for the time being and I had to leave WAAAAY too soon to go collect him from work :( Maybe I'll just take a cab next time or something... FUN TIMES!!! And thank you, Amber!
You lucky ladies, these are the times I so wished I lived in America. Would love to be able to meet some of the wonderful people I chat with in card land.
So - back again with April's card! I've attached it here, and the link to it is HERE. She didn't realize how pink the colored pencil she was using was (wishes it had been more red), but she had a great time and is pretty pleased... I'm really proud of her and happy to have her join me in my addiction!
April did an amazing job...isnt it just too much fun sucking others into our addiction....making cards? We all so enjoyed the time spent together. I have found that people who care enough to make handmade cards are very special ladies and I am blessed to know quite a few! See you soon Sue...next time you might really get to stamp...notice I said might.......lol
