Diane..thanks for taking the time to look at my gallery! I appreciate your comments! And you are right...not so much as a click, but just being known on SCS.I had someone else tell me they thought that when you did the challenges you got more comments. I just don't have time to do that and upload only now and then. But,everyone does appreciate a comment and I try to leave at least a few everyday. Especially to those that you don't see their name that often. Thanks again for lookin' and commenting! You have some very nice cards as well.
Holy Cow everybody! My gallery was filled with comments tonight when I got home from work! I do feel embarassed.
I have always felt my cards pale in comparison to everybody else's. But as I became more comfortable in my stamping, I realized that this is just my style. And I definitely have never been one to "toot my own horn" so to speak or try and draw attention to myself. There's so many cards posted on this website that's it's impossible to see them all and I always post late at night closer to midnight so I assumed that not many people were online to see my cards. I never expected that many comments. Thank you so much for saying such nice things.
Parrothead, you should try some challenges when you have time. I have learned new techniques and tried color combos I might not have done. I participate when I can, but I work full time and spend toooo much time here.
Sometimes I have good cards that I just don't get good pics of, but I enjoy doing them. That's why we do this isn't it- our own pleasure??
Absolutely,Diane!!I say it's cheaper than therapy! Most of the time I never even send a card!! I just make them and file them away!!!!But now that I think about it....maybe its not cheaper then therapy!!When I look around around my room and start adding up what I have invested its scary!!!! But its so much fun!!!!
[QUOTE=Ariel M]I never post to the gallery anymore, b/c I didn't feel that my cards were all that great. However, these weren't too bad considering they were some of my very first creations. be honest!!QUOTE]
I felt that way too but still posted my cards. At the very least I thought it might help new stampers or new SCS members to see that there are ugly cards, cards that didn't turn out, big boo boos, etc. posted here with no regret so they wouldn't be afraid to post.
What a great thread!! I thought this card I made using the santa Collage stamp was really nice but it didnt get many comments. However I realise I did upload it on the VSN so that definately had an impact - so many nice projects to see that it can easily be overlooked!
I have not had a chance to check out the cards mentioned here - I think this thread is a great idea, and, as I cruise today's additions, I try to comment on cards that have little notice. However, if I find a card that has no information, I tend to not respond. I know that there are a lot of reasons for not putting in the information, but I do like to see that included.
Awww...Dody.....thank you so much!! LOL --I was wondering why I was suddenly getting more views & comments on this card, since I'd made it awhile ago!! You're so sweet!!!
What great finds! It is so hard to see every card every day---thanks so much for starting the thread....and thanks so very much to those who have commented on my "lonely" card! I totally appreciate it! :0)

I do backflips when my cards 'perform' that well in the gallery! I think we can lose our perspective a little when we see all the challenge cards with a billion views and a hundred comments each. It is great when five people take time out of their day to write about our cards. JMHO, and YMMV.
I couldn't agree more! I think a few hundred views is something to aspire to! I find that I get one percent comments to views. I don't know quite what to make of that, but it is what it is!! It's hard not to get wrapped up in the whole views/comments thing, but I think it's pretty obvious that many of us do!
Thank you all for the kindness you've shown fellow SCS members by taking time to post here and put up feedback on all the cards.
What a fun thread! I hope more people add their cards that didn't get any love. I'm shocked by the cards I see with so few, or no, comments. They are all so nice!

This needs a big bump because I've spent the last hour in the gallery. There are some amazing cards uploaded today that have few or no comments! People were busy stamping over the weekend!
This is one I found yesterday. I think she did an amazing job with all the cutting and the whole design. Not only was it overlooked (less than 300 views) but only a few comments! I love this one!
I'm glad I went back to look, b/c the post I typed didn't post to her card! So I left another one Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Carol, you are very right. I should post more, and who cares if I don't get 1500 views and 50 comments! I do this b/c I can share some ideas with you lovely ladies that have probalby helped me with a design, and didn't even know it.
I do wish I had cable instead of dial-up. That does take the fun out of posting my own work.

Wow... it's taken me quite a while to get through this thread, but after looking at all the cards linked here, I realize that you ladies are waayyy out of my league.:( I don't do anything that takes more than a few minutes to create, cuz I just don't have the time anymore. I only have 14 things in my gallery, but have tons more stuff here that I'd like to put in, but I'm somewhat limited cuz I only have a scanner. It just doesn't do them justice...
I have really enjoyed looking at all these cards! What a great idea to start this post! I have learned that you automatically get more comments if you do the challenges and link your card to their threads. Most of the ones I just throw on without a link to a challenge get little or no attention. Here are a couple that were maybe overlooked in my gallery: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
