I was going through my collection today as I was urgently trying to find something that would work for a little girl who has a birthday today. ANYWAY, I realized that I have tons of flowers and grown up thoughts but only one set for kids (SU! Toybox) So I figured I would ask, "what stamps (sets or singles) do you like to use for kids cards?"
I really like the toybox one for boys but not so much for girls.
Anyhow, I look forward to seeing what Y'all think!

My favorites for girl cards are: Elzybells by Amuse, Pretty Princess by SU (retired though) and Bellas for slightly older girls. Every once in a while I do bright flowers or butterflies too!

I like the dinosauer stamps of any maker (dinosauer mini - s.u.) for boys. I also have a lot of the disney stamp - cartoon characters for any kid, like micky, pooh, etc. I also have a clear unmounted doggie set that I love from Inkadinkadoo, has several cartoon like dogs, really cute!

I just made a b-day card for my 4 year old DD yesterday. I used the big butterfly from Garden Whimsy. I stamped it with chalk ink (pink and rolled in purple) and embossed with a glitter EP. What little girl won't love a sparkly butterfly on her birthday?? I love the suggestion for Elzybells.....might have to get a few of those!
I love to use Wild About You for boys. My DS is almost 6, so I'll have to come up with a different set soon.
I love Stampingbellas Fifi, Fabby, Johnny Depster, and the Super "kids" (forgot their names--is it SuperTyler?) My 9 y.o. daughter helped me pick out stamps that her friends would like (Fifi, Fabby). I also bought the pirate set from CTMH to go along with Depster. I've also used some of my Monkey stamps for kids cards. I love making kids cards!
So many fun ones to pick from. Here's a few that I love:
Stampendous chicks and changito monkeys.
Any of the Stampabilities House Mouse stamps with birthday themes.
Hero Arts cupcake set.
Inky Antics - lots of cute animals with birthday themes on their website.
Whipper Snapper - lots of fun birthday stamps on their website too.
In addition to some of the ones listed above, Clear Dollar Stamps also has several stamp sets designed for kids. I use butterflies and flowers a lot for girls but I have such a hard time with little boy cards. I just bought a See D's set from Inque Boutiqe that has rockets one pirates on it.
I have to agree that Penny Black stamps are great. I have a few and use them for my kids cards, and love the ones with flowers for little girls. Have 2 girls cards to make this month and they will be my top choice.

Stampin' Up! has a really cute set of stamps called zoofari - you stamp/color images and then cut them out and stick them on lollipops and then stick the lollipops in a small vase of jelly beans - that's always fun... and then take a white gift bag and stamp the animals on the bag and color them in - really neat and original.
Did you know you can stamp on tissue paper to so that everything is coordinated? It's pretty simple... just get a classic ink pad from Stampin' Up! and some colored tissue paper... and stamp away!
I know with my kids (little) they are into whatever they are into...so usually I find an image from the BD theme (Curious George, Pooh, Buzz Lightyear)...and then use saying stamps or embossing...basically everything else is handmade.
I like many of the above mentioned companies for kids images. Also Paper Pretties has some adorable stamps.

I love SU's Big Birthday Candle set. You can make the exact same card and simply by changing colors around it would be appropriate for different genders and different ages. VERY versatile set.
We have been making cards for the kids at Keiki cards and I have had a hard time getting stamps for boys that they would like. I picked out the Unfrogettable as the set for our current order. I have used toy box and finally found Ancient Art and have started a few cards with that. Often I use patterned paper for the kids cards.
I so think that SU could use more stamps that would be appropriate for kids and something for teenage boys or men that don't fish or golf would be appreciated as well.

Sugar Nellie stamps are cute too. There's Maggie and Hamish, older Rachelle Anne Miller stamps, Little Cotton Rabbits, Nellie and Luca, Elizabeth Bell (Sweet Ebony line). They are sold by Funky Kits Not affiliated with them, just a happy customer.
I like Hanna Stamps Riley images - there are Riley baking, riding a bike, in the water, building a snowman, etc. I tend to use these for kids cards as my girls love all the images.

I have zoofari....and find that you can stamp those images on DP for a cute kidsy look or you can color them girly colors or boy colors to personlaize...who doesn't love a pink polka dot rhino?
For little girls I've used the retired SU stamps "Sugar and Spice" and also 'And Everything Nice". I also love the retired SU Stamps "Circus Train" and "By Land" for little boys. I love the "U' sets by stampin up and other companies for teenage boys. I recently sent a teenage boy a "U Rock!" card and he was thrilled with it. The "U" sets also come with other sentiments like "Thank U" or "Happy Birthday to U". For teenage girls, again I use retired sets like "Girlfriends" and "Girlfriend accessories". It'll be interesting to see what new children's stamps will be in the new catalog. I love "Ahoy Maytey" for little boys too and thats not retired.
