My daughter wants me to use gold ink for their initials on the front of their wedding invitations. I have a 150 to make before the middle of May. I want to keep it simple so would rather not have to heat emboss. Who makes nice gold ink pads?

Encore is beautiful but it never dries which is why I didn't suggest it. Lots of folks periodically ask for help on SCS with Encore ink. I have not had luck with Encore but I have had great experiences with Brilliance.

Encore is still the prettiest I think, but I see your point. I totally forgot about the fact that she was making 150 of them. Yes, that would take almost as long as embossing. The Brilliance is good too and fast drying.

This has been my experience as well. They are the only two gold inks I've tried but I believe StazOn has metallic colors ... hoping someone else can give feedback on them.
Thanks ladies, will head to craft store tomorrow to get some of the Brillance, I have a number of the Memento by the same company. Okay back to planning these invitations, they want them to look like a book

Martha Stewart has this neat gold leafing stuff that you stamp sticky ink on and then put it over the top. It is then left behind on the image. My friend made an invite with hot pink shiny stuff on it and it was gorgeous.
You could also use a spray sealant over the ink. I would test it first though to make sure the spray doesn't react with the ink. I made my wedding invitations and this is what I did.
