Last time I was in one I got the bamboo roll up blinds for the kitchen and my bedroom (they are cheap and cute), new dishes, etc. I get to one once or twice a year. We ARE going in June and buying a couch there, I'm looking forward to that!!
I posted a comment on Inkpad's pictures saying I couldn't go to the new Ikea store in my area as I still have two more weeks until I can buy craft supplies, but these Ikea things are "not craft supplies" are they?????
Furniture or furniture like items aint craft supplies, so happy shopping.

I have an IKEA 10 miles or so from me and have never been there. I keep thinking I need a trip down the road after reading here. Hmmmmm, there just may be a trip in the near future... you are twisting my arm - it may soon snap!
Girls, the next exit up the highway from where I live - IKEA. Yeah, you hate me now. We went every day over Christmas break. Cheapie round turny thing (what do you call it) is great for putting my tool bag on. My dream - to replace my bookshelves with a wall full of cabinets in my craft room. Oh, gotta go . . . off to IKEA. Yeah, you hate me.

Oh, no! I don't hate you! I couldn't!
I wanna be your friend--the one you wanna take shopping with you . . . do you have a guestroom at your house by any chance? ;) ;) ;) Heh, heh, heh!

On another site everyone is always talking about wanting the Expedit shelves from Ikea. I think they have created the craze for them like the scalloped punches on this board. People are driving hundreds of miles to get those shelves. I was going to order them but it cost twice as much in shipping as the actual shelves. After searching everywhere for something similar I have finally given up.
Inkpad - I got the brackets for your punch storage idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
Julie - Yes, babe, we have a guest room with your name on it. My daugher's an Interior Design major, so we gave her the credit card last break, and she decorated the guest bedroom in, you guest it, IKEA motif. Here's a picture.
I know Expedit is popular, but has anyone considered the Bonde storage system? It looks like it has more options, like cabinet doors to keep the dust off your albums.
I just put up some flat black towel bar type things. The paper with them says "KROKEN". They come in 23 1/2 and 30" lengths and can be used alone to hang towels and punches. I also bought some small galvanized type pails. You can also get little hooks to hang other objects.
Thanks, inkpad, for posting this information! I went to Ikea this morning and purchased three bars, three buckets, and a package of hooks. Now to get hubby to put them up!
OK, it official. In an unscientific study, I've found that it is easier to keep your stamp area clean when you store your punches on the wall. I use them and it's just as easy to put them on the bar as on the counter. It's almost forcing me to put everything else away too. This can't possibly last!

I best be savin' my pennies! ;)
Your daughter's got SKILLZZZZZZ!!! WOW! I love what she did with the room!

Home Depot carries a similar hanging system--rack, with shelves and little buckets, etc...for those that can't get to IKEA. I bought a rack for my punches for 10.99
