I felt the need to buy the SU glitter. Why?!!! I'm sure you talented artists out there have some there some quick and easy tips for the glitter (I got the "fine" glitter). I would really appreciate how you use the glitter and how you affix it to your works of art. Thanks!

A glue pen is great for fine lines, or "writing" in glitter.
I love stamping on acetate, and colouring the image with glitter using something like Glossy Accents to adhere it. Some people do it on the top, I prefer the way it looks when the acetate is on top and the glitter is underneath. Takes a while, as you have to do each colour one at at time and let it dry between colours!
And if you have the Sakura glaze pens, you can sprinkle glitter on that while it's still wet - great for things like butterfly and dragonfly wings.
Double sided tape is great if you want a line or a frame of glitter around something.

Reason: clarification
Just my 2 cents worth - the only SU "glitter" we have in Australia at the moment is the Dazzling Diamonds and that's fantastic to use with lots of stuff. I have another brand fine glitter that I use alot as well. I've edged photos in scrapbooks with double-sided tape and sprinkled down the glitter for a nice edging. I've also used the glitter extensively with JAC paper (double sided sticky paper). My friend had a Studio 54 Birthday party last year for her 30th and I downloaded the studio 54 logo onto the JAC, cut it out, stuck it down, poured on the glitter and viola - a stunning centre piece for a scrapbooking page. Used this way, however, I believe it should also be "sealed" with a sealer of some sort to stop the glitter going everywhere too.
I know it's not SU glitter, but I'm sure it would be similar - HTH!!!!!
I think I put glitter on every one of my cards. I love using hero arts ultra fine prisma glitter because it's clear and the color shows through. I use the quickie glue pen, and never have a problem
It depends on to what I am applying the glitter. I usually use a glue pen for "regular" stuff. I also have a fine tip glue pen for detail work. If I want to have no glittery residue; then I use crystal effects and add the dazzling diamonds to that - the glitter stays put; but IMO it does not have thesame airy feel as with a glue pen!

I've never been really big on using glitter and one of the reasons is because I don't know how. My daugher just gave me two jars of Martha Stewart glitter in really beautiful colors and now I don't know what to do. I don't have any heat and stick powder so I guess I'll have that on next month's order. In the meantime, what do I do? I would like to use it on stamped images so a glue pen is out. What about the "glue pad" I've seen advertised, would that work.
I'd like some input from someone who has used the glue pad. I bought one, and I must be glitter-challenged. I could never get it to look good. Actually, it seems like the glitter didn't stick to the stamped image. Do you have to burnish the glitter to make it stick? That was going to be my next trial.

I have the glue pad and it works really good. I love using glitter and found that I have been using it alot more lately. I mix it with crystal effects and can color it with a reinker if I want to make my own stickles. I also use the crystal effects direct to paper. I have just started using the tombow mono multi that SU now has and that is great too. I have used a paint brush to apply it and then sprinkle the glitter on it. I personally have not tried the heat and stick more than once or twice and it has been awhile. I seem to remember I wasn't quite sure what I was doing and it was when I first started making cards, now I may have to get it out and try it again.
All this glitter talk makes me want to pull some out! I just bought some beautiful glittery paper too. And i just finished putting glitter on my dd Easter eggs.
You have to get the Sticky Cuts letters. The fine glitter looks amazing on it!!! Other than that I've used a little Mono Multi to adhere it. If you have the silver HPH that is in the Occasions mini you can put a little Multi or Crystal Effects in the ribbon slide and add glitter. It comes out so cute!

Using the Tombow mono multi sounds interesting. When you say you apply it with a paint brush -- do you mean you apply it to the stamp and then stamp the image onto papger and then cover with glitter? I really love the True Friend stamp set and I really want to stamp the big filigree flower design with glitter but I can't see applying glue to a rubber stamp. I guess it could be done but I've just never heard of doing that before. Maybe I'll try it in a couple of days. I'll just have to be sure and clean the stamp well.

I paint the glue onto the paper after I have stamped and colored it. It has two ends so you can run a line using the smaller end, but sometimes I want a more sublte look so I spread it with a brush so it lightly covers the area. hth
