How exactly do you stamp on a round xmas ornament? Am I not getting something here? Is there a spot where someone has posted instructions? These are so cute.
This is a beautiful example.
We just did glass ornaments at my last stamp club meeting and they were a hit! All you do is cut out a piece of transparency with a tiny notch at the top so that it fits into the inside of your glass ornament. Then you use StazOn ink to stamp an image onto the piece of transparency. You can color the image in using Sharpie Permanent Markers. Add character to the image by using a glue pen and adding a little glitter to it if you want. Make sure you allow some time for the glue to dry, and then roll the transparency up as tightly as you can (glitter side in) and slip it into the hole on top of the ornament. Slowly fit it in, and it should pop right open when it gets into the larger part of the ornament. Use a pair of tweezers to adjust the transparency in to get it perfectly straight. You can add a little more character to it before you put the transparency in, you can fit in some fake snow (although trying to get it in can be messy and time consuming). The results however, are fantabulous!!!

I bought some flattened round ornaments at JoAnn Fabrics just the other day and have stamped on them with my Staz-on Black ink pad. I picked a smaller sized stamp and had to rock it a little to get all the image on the ornament. Search my gallery and check it out. If you need anymore help with doing these just ask. Ok, I have a silly question, and I can't find the answer to it. When you put the acetate in there, does it cover then entire inside of the ornament, or just one side? Does that make sense?
Monica, I don't understand about the *tiny notch* at the top of the acetate. Could you explain this a little more? And that ornament that you linked to is really inspiring!

Too many inspirations.....not enough time!!
from what I understand, the tiny notch , will fit into the very top of the ornament to hold it in place, so that the acetate doesn't tip over. I don't think she means tiny notch like you cut into the acetate, but its more like a small square on top of your circular acetate shape. I don't think I explained that very well, I hope it made sense.

I'm going to try to attach some instructions to this post for making these ornaments. They were created and posted by someone else and are wonderful. If it doesn't show up, you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll e-mail it to you.
GREAT attachment, RACERCAT!!! Yes, I was afraid the "notch" part would be confusing to people. At stamp club, we didnt use a round ball ornament. My demonstrator had actually bought square glass ornaments, which made it a task for her to cut the acetate into the right shape. She made us a template to follow once she got the shape under control.

I made one today. It wasn't the greatest, but I can tell that I will get better the more I make. I am going to try and post it tomorrow. By the way, if anybody is interested, the clear glass ornaments are 50% off this week at Michaels.
