Gifts for DD friends

I am in need of some help. I need to make something for my DDs two best friends. They are 7 and 8 yo. I have already made them coaster boxes, covered composition books, and pens in the past. I am having a total creative block on this lately. Any ideas???

What about a memo board? You can buy those corkboard tiles at Wal Mart and I think they're 4 packs, for about $5. You could stamp on them, alter them, make fun matching tacks, etc., and the girls could use 'em to decorate their rooms, and pin their notes and pictures onto, etc.

I would think they would adore something like that!

Ooooh--you could make glittery chipboard monograms to put on one corner--so personal!

Name frames? My 8yo daughter loves hers.

how about an altered frame...you can put a pic in if you have one, if not just give it empty...do they have hobbies? if they dance, how about a hanging piece (door hanger, sign) that says dance, etc...

You could do the memo board with a magnet on the back to decorate their lockers with at school? Or make charms with the shrinky dink paper and have something cute to hang off their backpack?

Yes - the shrinky dinks are a great idea - duh, I just made some a week or two ago...you can make quick and easy jewelry sets... here's mine...

My DD same age loves covered clipboards.... she carries it around and makes notes or uses it for simple homework sheets.....

Where did you find the mini calendars?
