I have the Archival and it's great. The only problem I've ever had w/ it was on very absorbent paper. If the pad is juicy, it will tend to spread a little on absorbent paper. No problem on anything else and you can water color w/ it.
For all time favorite black ink, it's hands down, Ancient Page coal. Great for detail images, gamsol magic, water coloring, even bleaching. Nothing seems to affect it. Just check my gallery. Anything stamped in black (except for embossing) was done w/ AP.
