Clean your clear stamps ( and rubber stamps) with ULTRACLEAN. It is safe for both kinds of stamps and conditions the stamps as well as cleans them.

You can get it here: http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/cat...?categoryId=47

They carry the small 2oz. size that has the spray and the refill size, (no spray with that). Best cleaner I have EVER found.

I love my Versafine, but it always smears with watercolor no matter how long it dries. Any tips for that? I just bought a Memento pad, so I'll have to try that for watercolor. I like the Palette Noir and Stazon, but neither pad seems to stay juicy for very long--it seems that I have to reink almost every time I use them.

I have some Thomas Kinkade images, and the Versafine is the best, as long as I just color with plain Prismacolor pencils--no water or solvent.

Also, I like my clear stamps stained black. Makes them easy to position, easy to find in the case or on the floor and easy to read the sentiments. First thing I do when I get my PTI order is to lay them all out and ink them up with black and not wipe them off for a few minutes so the stain gets deep in them. I must be crazy, LOL!

I have the Archival and it's great. The only problem I've ever had w/ it was on very absorbent paper. If the pad is juicy, it will tend to spread a little on absorbent paper. No problem on anything else and you can water color w/ it.

For all time favorite black ink, it's hands down, Ancient Page coal. Great for detail images, gamsol magic, water coloring, even bleaching. Nothing seems to affect it. Just check my gallery. Anything stamped in black (except for embossing) was done w/ AP.
