Default FYI - New Kit Up on Stampin Up website

I know everyone was asking about the Autumn Elegance kit from Stampin Up. It's now up on the website.

You can also see the Country Living layout, by going to their magazine layout and doing some clicking. The layout is VERY nice. My SIL is my demo and she ordered our sets the other day. Can't wait to get it and start. The way the description was written, I'm wanting to believe that there might be other "custom" sets ahead. One can only hope!

I love the slideshow format! God forbid that one of my children walked in and interrupted!
This may be a dumb question but what is the paintbrush for?

I believe the brush is used for watercoloring on some of the projects. I was wavering until I saw this set with all of the beautiful Autumn colors with it. Then it was directly to my checkbook.

Personally, I think the SU site is a little lacking in info... the Country Living site has more.

Well, that's what your Demo is for

The paint brush is to color the center of the leaves.

The special is a die cut stamp set plus everything you need to make 8 of the cards for $49. You get enough card stock, Hodgepodge Hardware, Hemp Twine, Ribbon, Ink Spots, Glue Dots, Watercolor Brush and a card for a year's subscription to Country Living for $12. I will go to my newsletter and copy the list of what's in the kit and post it here.

Interesting to note. I could not find anything on the Autumn Elegance set on the Canadian SU site. I had to go the the US site to see it. Does this mean it's only going to be available in the US?

No offense was intended... just found it interesting that Country Living had a page devoted to the details of the kit with a link to SU!'s site, but SU didn't describe the kit contents as well.

yay! Thanks for all of the info! This is a beautiful set! When they say Die Cut stamps, does that mean that they are already cut out and you just mount them on the wood or that they are already mounted?

None was taken! That why I ed LOL
My personal opinion is that SU is doing their very best to not even give the appearance of cutting us (the demonstrators) out. They are very committed to the in home demos so I think that is why they are giving a little info but then steering customers to demos.

Here is where a "buffet" would be helpful. I have all the colored cardstock and all the stampin' spots (along with the pads). I also have hemp & glue dots, and I already get Country Living (which I love). I would love to have the stamps, but the other stuff brings the price too high. I just don't like kits - I like to get what I want to get and not what someone else packs in a kit. 'Nuff said.

Am I not getting something? When I click the SU link to the kit, I don't even see the pictures of the projects! Maybe it's a glitch with the connection but I've tried several times.

I agree, I think it's weird that the SU site doesn't tell what the elements of the kit is!!!!

I just got my kit-one thing to note is that the 8 projects designed can actually be used to make 16.
The project they designed is an invitation that fits into a sleeved cover.
But you could make the invitations and then make the sleeved cover and use it with a piece of vanilla paper inside (in lieu of the invite) and have that be a seperate card.

I will be offering extra envelopes to my customers who buy the set so that they can make 16 projects and mail them rather than 8 (since it comes with 8 envelopes, they will get 8 extra). I think it is a lovely set.
