I opened up my box of Crayola crayons because I decided I would try out the melted crayon technique. I figured I would try the red and blue ones because my club meeting next Saturday is a 4th of July theme. Well, I was looking for the red one and saw one. When I looked at the label, I thought it was the wrong one because it didn't say "Real Red." Well, as if that weren't bad enough, I did the same thing with the blue one. Am I bad or what?!?!?!
Oh well, I thought that story would make some of you guys laugh.
Isn't it funny how our world is described in the SU color palette? Like when we paint our walls tempting teal..etc. No matter what the label says...WE KNOW the SU translation for it. LOL ;)

I'll sometimes be at the store and see something and say it's such and such color from SU. My DH just laughs at me and says "Oh God." Yup, I'd say that I'm officially an SU addict.
My boyfriend actually asks me which SU! color I would say it is when we see stuff in store! Lol! I guess we can all relate to your story, don't worry...
LOL! My friend Donna & I get strange looks in public when we say things like "I bought a new shirt. It's kinda between bashful blue and brocade blue." Glad we're in good company!

I bought my girls really pretty dresses from Target. When my sister asked me what it looked like, I said "It's cameo coral with bud blossoms all over it." She had no idea what I was talking about. But hey, it inspired one of my swap cards! ;)
This thread is funny! Few months back, one of the guys at work commented that I was wearing a pretty orange top. I told him, 'This isn't orange, it is pumpkin pie'. Boy, he thought I was out of my mind!!
When I first started reading this thread, I thought you were going to say you melted the crayons and they turned purple. Blue + Red = Purple I always use SU! names of colors when I go shopping..
I once told my husband a couple of months ago that the shirt he was wearing was a perfect match for Certainly Celery. He kind of chuckled, but managed to not roll his eyes at me.
The other day, I was carrying in to work a bag of cardstock and stamps that a friend had ordered. My husband asks, "Oh, is that for soandso?" I replied, "Yes, Certainly Celery!" - referring to the cardstock. My husband looked down at his shirt and says, "No, not today."

(edited to fix a typo)
I do the same thing only with CTMH colors - My DH thinks I've flipped - it's nice to see that I am not the only one who does it regardless of the company
