Red face fun foam question

I have heard the term fun foam. Can you use any foam for this technique? I have seen foam at Walmart, can I use that too?

Fun foam is the rather thin craft foam that comes in many colors. You can buy it in sheets of varying sizes or in small diecut shapes. It is in the craft section at Walmart--as well as at Joanns, Michaels, etc. It is easy to cut and glue and can be lots of fun.

Don't buy the kind of foam that you find in cushions or pillows. That's something else entirely.

Yes, it's the same thing. Besides cutting and pasting, Try this:

Cut a piece of fun foam the size you wish for stamping on. On a heat-prrof surface, use your heat tool to warm up the foam (flipping it over and over to keep the heat pretty even) until it appears very soft. Immediately, press your stamp into the foam and push firmly. Remove and you have a deep implression of your image. I have done this with a dry stamp, a stamp inked with Classic Pad and a Metallic Pad. (I assume the craft would work as well as the metallic.) It's fun and I love the look.

Has anyone used a Sizzix on fun foam? I just got one and am wondering.

The sizzix machine cuts fun foam like butter! Works awesome for cutting out shapes for the kids to have fun with!
