Default filigree or no?

I'm going to a stamping party tomorrow and I'm working on my order and I keep going back and forth on whether or not to order the filigree backgrounds stamp?

So it's up to you all. . . . talk me into it or out of it!

Default Filligree BG

I have the Filligree BG stamp and I really do love it. It is very easy to use because it has an even pattern. It is beautiful stamped or embossed in gold, silver, copper, etc. It makes for a very elegant card, but can be used in more casual cards, as well. I'd say....you should buy it.

Default filigree background

Definitely YES! Filigree is wonderful because you can make an impressive card using it, a sentiment stamp and some organdy ribbon - quick, easy, elegant and fun. That pretty much makes it a "must have" in my book

Thanks for your quick responses. I know I want it but I've been so concerned about versatility and how I will be able to use it. So I LOVE to hear what a favorite it is with you!

I think it's beautiful, but I've talked myself out of it a million times. It's been interesting reading everyone's opinions.

Filigree was on my last stamp club order. It was this card that sold me on it. It's all Lana's fault.

In the last two months I have bought 4 background stamps (Just Jeans, Canvas, Filigree and By Definition) mostly because of the stuff I have seen here on SCS. Definitely bad for my budget.

Amen to that one! I LOVE that card of Lana's -- one of my personal favorites! I have been on the BIGGEST backgrounds stamp kick lately. And I have a lot of good ones, but I still feel like I need more! They're just the best! Glad I'm not alone!

Default In fact...

Above all the other background stamps, which I love and wish I had, I ordered this one for its versatility with Holiday, seasonal, special occasion cards.

It is the right scale for a lot of the artwork to compliment many of the stamp images we have in the catalog. I find for tiny spaces like cards, as backgrounds you need small scale backgrounds so they don't compete with the focal images.

Does that make sense?

I love this background stamp. It's also wonderfully delicate in Versamark, on a colored background. Someone else mentioned that it went well with so many things. I agree!

addicted2stamps~

I have had the same "wonder" ? To get it or not to get it. I have had it on many lists only to turn it down again and again and then vow next time it's gonna stay on the list for sure...!!!

If you do get it...let us know how you like it...I would love to hear what you think!

Thanks.

Default Filigree

Oh, and you should try stamping the new Canvas first in the same color as your background and then over-stamping the Filigree in Versmark. Then brush on Pearl Ex...oh, is that pretty! I LOVE this background stamp! Yes, yes, yes, it's a must have!
