I have been wanting to do this technique but I can not find the postage scissors anywhere in my town. I hae a few other patterned scissors..... which other patterns look ok besides the postage ones?
I have tried all the brands, and by far the Fiskars Stamp is the best, maybe it is called postage, I think it is stamp, but this looks the most realiistic, I found them at Michaels (our craft store) and used my 40% cupon, they were only 5.99 to start with. Look online possible if you cant find them locally, the fiskars brand by far has been the best.
I found a few places on line that carry them but just about all of them charge more for shipping then the scissors cost. create for less has them on sale for $2.66 but they want $7.95 to ship them. My closest Michaels or Joanns or anything is over an hour away. And my walmart has nothing. It's driving me nuts. I want a pair so bad. I guess I should of put that on my SS wish list huh. OOPS!! Thanks for the help ladies. I guess I will have to break down and pay all that s/h.
Try WalMart if they don't have the postage scissors use DECKLE scissors. Those work great and look like what a stamp might look like if you tore the page. Good luck!!

I'm cheap and didn't want to spend the $$ on scissors I don't really like that much, so I use a small perforator (or a tracing wheel on a mouse pad) to make the scores etc. then I pull off the outside edge and looks like they were at one time part of the "book"

I didn't have any either and had to improvise! used the SU! scallop scissors & cut off the rounded section - looked good enough for me and I guess SU! too

Shannon,
I found my Fiskars postage/stamp scissors @ Archiver's. I'm pretty sure
I spent less than $5 for them. I love doing the faux postage technique &
have done it often, so I thought the investment in the scissors was worth
it. If you can't find them @ Mike's, JoAnn's or Archiver's you might try a
sewing tracing wheel to get the perforation but I'm not sure it would work
on cardstock. Good luck!

I, too, wanted to try this! I had the hardest time finding these scissors. I found them on-line from Fiscars but I didnt want to pay all the shipping/handling.......
.......then one day I was in Hobby Lobby and found them for $1.00!!!!! They work perfect! They are an off-brand generic but they work great!

Donna is being a bit modest. That beautiful card she made was in the last Stampin' Success. Way to go Donna!! I love your postage edge. It's rather fancy.
I don't think modesty is a quality of mine - if you really knew me
what's so interesting is that I had a group mtg the other evening and didn't want to re-invent the wheel, so it was one of their make 'n takes. It was not one of their favorites to make (they said it was too hard) - oh well
