Thank you for all your replies. I'm being convinced! I can see how convenient UM would be as far as space is concerned. (I have a daughter and a granddaughter moving home soon and I could use all the space I can get!) And I think as far removing the stamps from the block, probably after doing it for awhile I'd get used to it.

But... just one more question and then I'm done! Do you use them when you have a workshop or stamp camp? Does that deter customers from buying? How do you explain the difference?

Sorry for all the questions. I guess I tend to be overly cautious.

Sylvia

I have done classes, a stamp camp and shoebox swaps....didn't seem to bother anyone. Figure they are my stamps so as long as I am sharing no one should mind how mine are mounted, or unmounted as the case my be!!! I really like mine like this.

Well, I'm still trying to decide what to use. I tried the vinyl stuff; it was ok but it didn't stick really well. I did put a small piece of doublesided tape and it was good.

On the EZMount side that goes on the block, do you still have to put o/o or other sticky stuff on it? I'm thinking the vinyl or doublesided tape would work just as well if that is the case. Plus, it'd be soooo much cheaper.

Thanks, mary

I use them at stamp clubs and as a result 6 of the 8 women in my stamp club are now going unmounted too!

If the cling doesn't stick, a teensy bit of Duck red roller works beautifully and permanently.

The EZMount side that is "attached" the acrylic block just has vinyl cling.. but WOW what a cling it is!

You COULD skip a lot of steps and just put double sided tape on the BLOCKS and just stick the rubber part of the stamp to the block. Then you'd peel the rubber off when you are done and wash it and put it away. The sticky part would stay on the block. At least I've heard that is what some people do.

nothing extra needed with EZ mount. the sticky side you adhere to the rubber, and the other side sticks to the acrylic block. nothing extra needed.

Here's another great site with instructions on temporarily mounting unmounted stamps -- good pictures too.

Here's another place to see how to mount your unmounted stamp onto Ezmount foam
