I've sold and traded a lot of stamps, but I've only had traders remorse once. I actually regretted it even before I mailed the stamps. I ended up just ordering a new set and having it shipped to the person I was trading with. Of course I haven't touched the stamps since then, but at least I know they're here if I need them.

My situation was very similar. Before I even mailed the set, I was already looking on the BST forum to buy another one. I, too, haven't touched the set since it has arrived--couple of months.

Just once! I sold Sun, Moon and Stars and almost immediately regretted it. I had only used it a couple of times and had bought it in error (I thought I was buying Stardust), but I miss it now. Of course, maybe it's like my first boyfriend...I "miss" him but my life is pretty complete without him.
I haven't actually sold any sets, but I have given some away and PIF'ed others. I was afraid I'd miss them once they were gone, but I don't. And I'm glad because they went to homes where they will be used.

I have never had sellers remorse...and I have sold a lot of my old sets. I have forced myself to keep one spot for all my stamps; when it gets full and I want to buy something from the new catty, I sell some of them. I usually don't sell a set until I have used it repeatedly for swaps and I am a little tired of it....
There are some sets I will always hang on to, though!
Seller's remorse? Not really. I traded old sets for "new to me sets" or used the money from selling to buy new stuff. Out with the old and in with the new.
Now, are there sets that I will never get rid of? OF COURSE!
I gave my xron to the Goodwill and I definately regret. I was mad at it because I tried to laminate my ultrasound pictures of my son. It totally messed them up. I was so angry, I gave my xron to the Goodwill. I started stamping afterward and now I totally regret it.
The other day I tore the house apart looking for a stamp set. I finally remembered that I sold it. I wasn't bummed about it, but I was kind of surprised that I sold it. lol
I have sold many of my stamp sets through the years.. the only one I rebought was Daisy along with the brass template.. guess what.. it sat on the shelf for over a year so I sold it again and never looked back. I used to keep sets forever and never use them.. not anymore.. if they have sat and not been used, I get rid of them and then replace them with something else.. always makes me feel better! Pam

Remorse? All the time and not because I got rid of it but because my price was too low. When I see sets I sold for next to nothing on Ebay with sky-high prices, I want to cry.

Yeah, I've got a few sets that I've purchased more than once (always for good deals, though) because I've sold them but in the end I realize I can survive without them.

Yup!
I hate for perfectly good rubber to sit on my shelves, unloved and dusty! If I don't use it and can't think of an occasion when I would *need* it, I trade or sell it with no remorse!

I have a few sets that I haven't even opened yet and I see people looking for them on the BST forum but I won't give it up I just know if I did sell them I would regret it!!!

I think that is they only remorse I feel too! Not getting enough for the sets I sell. Like a lot of people I sell old sets sometimes to buy new. So even if I do regret it, I comfort myself with the new sets!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAA I LOVED that set and SOLD IT TOO!!! I don't sell anymore. I find I go through "stages" of styles... and even though I think I won't use a set, I end up using again down the road. And... yes, I have TOO MANY stamps!! Or, is that possible??????:p :p :p
No seller's remorse from me ~ I'm happy that they have gone to a new home and I figure I can always try to replace them if I get nostalgic I think you'll be okay!
But I agree with the previous post - I have some buyer's remorse going on. I just got a set that was not what they said it would be and it's heartbreaking. They are not even worth keeping, they are that bad. I would have normally asked to see front AND back of the stamps, but I trusted her and well, shame on me, I guess. Lesson learned.
