I just love the 3x3 cards but where do you get envelopes for them? I am willing to order them if someone can give me the right direction. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas to all!!!!!
Reminder - square envelopes do require extra postage.
This is from the usps.com website:
Unusual Shapes and Sizes
Sometimes a piece of mail requires additional postage because it is a certain shape or size that is difficult to process on mail sorting machines. To make sure you’re paying the correct postage, visit the domestic rate calculator or call 1·800·ASK·USPS. These are examples of mail that could require additional postage:
Square envelopes
Packages larger than 34 inches long, or 17 inches wide, or 17 inches high
Envelopes on which the address is written parallel to the shorter edge
Packages weighing more than 35 pounds
Books and printed material weighing more than 25 pounds
Tubes and rolls
The 3x3 "love notes" in the Winter Mini come with envelopes. But I don't think you can mail these. I think they are too small and are meant to be hand delivered as well as hand stamped.
Stampin' Up! has a template (Assortment 1 on page 203) for the 3x3 envelopes. The wrapping paper on page 216 would make perfect envelope paper. I haven't tried it yet because I don't have the template. If anyone has, please let me know how it turns out. I'm going to try it with my mini envelopes template.
I have the templates to make them and I was wondering what type of paper would be best. I think sometimes the card stock is too heavy for smaller envelopes what do you think?

You're right, they're not mailable as-is because they're too small for the sorting equipment. I think there's even a note in the mini catty that mentions this.

I use patterned paper that has a white back. I bought the first Slab when it came out, and I'm not crazy about it anymore. I use that paper and put the white on the outside, and the pattern on the inside. It give the envelopes a little flair and the weight is perfect. The SU templates are super easy to use!
Thanks for all the advice I didn't think you could mail them but I was going to make a stack for some of the teachers and I figured they might want to put them in an envelope so I thought I should find out. Thanks again everyone and Happy New Year.
I recently received a card in the mail from a friend. The envie measured about 2.5 by 3.5 inches. Needless to say, the postage stamp filled most of the front! Hehe. I got such a chuckle when I realized it was an actual card and not some junk mail!
