Default Encore Metallic Pads

For those of you who have used these-- do you like them? How long do they take to dry? Is it a similar look to embossing?

I'm starting to think about demoing Christmas cards and it would be nice if these pads gave a nice metallic effect without having to emboss. I would think they'd be a popular seller for Christmas if they work well. I don't want to buy them if they aren't any good, so any feedback is appreciated!

I'm a fan of the Encore metallic pads, but *highly* recommend ordering a refill as well. You will want to try "polished stone" with your metallic ink.

I love the encore metallic pads. They dry quickly and have a great look, though it's not an embossed look to me. They are well worth the money!

I love them and have at least 5. I agree about getting the reinkers, too. when colage stamping was really hot that's when I got mine. They are nice to use without embossing and don't take very long to dry. I love the metallic look.
I'd say yes, get them!

Looks like I'm the only one thats not happy with these. I tried to use the silver on my mother in laws Christmas cards and they seemed to take forever to dry (stamped on forest foliage) there was silver smears everywhere so I started embossing them. That said, I've never had a problem with my gold or copper. It is possible I just got a bad one.
