Default Embossing question

I ordered the new embossing folders and got the set that has the borders, but isn't in a folder. How do you emboss the borders? I tried to use the tan mat, but felt it was much too tight, so did not force it through the machine.
So, how do you get an impression.

I am using a cuttlebug. I just got one and finally figured it out. It was a "duh" moment.

It is one of the very small embossing folders.

they are folders but a couple are only about 1" wide or so some are a little bigger. They are so cute. It would be so easy to put two different borders side by side anywhere on your card front. You will love these.
Blessings.

I got two set of those. I just love them. I used one of the border folders to make the scalloped edge on this card.

scalloped edge

You should go check out Jay at http://indigoinklings.blogspot.com/ - she does all sorts of 'testing' with the folders. Those skinny ones are a new thing for her. She's been testing ways to emboss without getting the edges of the folders embossed too....
