first i would reccommend setting up a paypal account.
take good pictures of your items. you might want also use a photo editing programm to make the best of your pic.
upload your picture to a photostorage place from where you can upload your pic into ebay.

here is what i use
www.photobucket.com
or
http://www.auctiva.com/?how=scLnk2

then when you logg in ebay just go into sell and play a little ... you will find prices or just copy descriptions (terms of payment) out of excisting listings.

That's going to depend entirely on your starting and final selling prices. The insertion fee is determined by the starting amount, and when the item sells you are charged a Final Value Fee based on how much the winning bid was.

Clear as mud?

Default eBay Cost Estimator

I have a little file I created to assist in determining what my auction costs might be before I finalize my auction posting.

The Excel file is protected (without password) to make it harder to change a formula in error. These costs are based on today's eBay and PayPal costs... and you can see the chart with the various rates, so you could always update it in case of future eBay price changes.

Hope this helps someone.

I always just keep my pictures on my computer unless I'm going to have more than one or a slide show. It does cost the gallery fee though. If you go through a 3rd party like imageshack or auctiva I think it's free you just won't get a gallery pic unless you pay for it. If this isn't correct someone please correct me!
Seems to me that ebay and paypal costs together equal about 10% including insertion, gallery, final value and paypal fees. Ebay is raising their prices though so That 10% estimate is going out the window or already has. It is hard to judge what your items will end up selling for on auction as we've seen from some of the stamp sets that go for a ton more than originally cost. However, you can get kind of close to the final value by searching on the same or similar items and watching their ending price. Didn't I see where someone had posted once that you can search on past auctions to see what things sold for? If I'm not imagining things, does someone know how to do that?
Thanks for the file, Cat! I'm certainly going to use it! I'm excel "challanged"!

I was fairly certain that the current increase is for "store" auctions only. That the standard eBay auction costs were not going to change at this time [gotta love that!]
