I have seen one even better. Wish I had bookmarked the pictures. This very, very wealthy woman had 3 stamp rooms (one on each floor of her home) and all had a wall of windows overlooking the ocean. Each room had the identical products so she would not have to go to another floor to get something. She bought 3 of every stamp etc. and had room for literally dozens of friends to stamp with her. Each room was done with a gorgeous tile floor and totally custom outfitted built in cabinents for her things. I know a woman who stamped there once and she gave each person who came for the little party the entire sets of stamps and products they used for the evening. This woman has died and gone to heaven, IMO!!
Okay, I haven't read all the posts, but my first thought was...how the heck does she reach into those top drawers?! I'm five feet tall and have a hard time reaching the second shelves in my cabinets! I wonder where she keeps her ladder...

I love it Cathy!! I have had your site bookmarked for some time. I always tell my DH that it is my dream room. He just looks at me and says - yeah whatever!! Exactly that - in my dreams only!!! Hey if I can live vicariously through your room - I am a HAPPY stamper!!!
Great room! So organized too - I think that impressed me just as much as how much is in the room!

Wow, I was blinded by all of the stamps and only saw 3 kitties, I need to go back and find the other 3. I wonder if any of the cats ever get lost down there with the stamps?
I wonder how Cathy has them all organized and how she keep track of almost 15,000 stamps? I did notice that the drawers were all labeled. Very organized!
Now that's one very big room full of everything under the sun! My question is....does she actually send cards to everyone she knows....and just how many people does she know??? Whew---the worth of her collection could probably help rebuild New Orleans :-)
10 Reasons My Craft Room Doesn't Look This Way:
1. If my room looked like this, I'd have to admit to my husband that I had finally spent as much as he did on his boat, which would take away my guilt tool.
2. If I spent this much, he would divorce me, but then again, I'd have more time to stamp!!
3. The containers cost as much as the supplies I bet.
4. I can never find my scissors. If I had to look in all those places for them, I'd learn to tear better!
5. Amen to the homeowners insurance! I believe this would be a situation that would require an inventory and estimated worth.
6. My 9 year old would have a hay-day, and I would be nuts!!!
7. I wouldn't want to touch anything for fear I'd mess it up and have to clean it up!
8. Ever look for a needle in a haystack? Same thing.
9. Imagine having a prankster teenage son (like mine) who would find it amusing to switch all the drawers around just to see me faint.
and finally, . . .
10. If I were as rich as I am jealous, my room would look like this one!!!

I would like to know how on earth she can find what she needs when she needs it. I just have a tiny room and, even though it is organized, often I forget where I put things and have to search for them. Can you imagine searching through all those drawers?

Not me...I am happy with what I have...if I had that many stamps it would be because I had to possess them, not to be able to use them. I want my supplies easy to find, with only one place for them to be. I do *almost* exclusively SU and CM supplies--anything else is specific for a project and I don't keep extra. Besides, I have a quilter's stash too!
I sure hope she has a rider(sp?) on her homeowners insurance for that place! Can you imagine if all that went up in flames?
Just what I was thinking as I was looking through it all. Of course, I used to work in an insurance claims office so my thought process is a bit skewed that direction...
IMHO, it's too much. I'd be claustrophic in there!
How could anyone ever use all this stuff? I think I have a lot but this would be overwhelming to me. Like someone else said, how would she ever find anything?
This room was featured in "Scrap n' Stamp" magazine... it is totally awesome isn't it?! She'd make a good commercial for the Iris containers alright!!! I would love to have my place organized like this, but really - will you be able to find EVERYTHING in this neatness? Not Me... i need things on top of each other and all over the place! haha
Maybe I'm not the only person here who thinks that. But to me it's toomuch for me.I would never use all of that.Right now I have around 110 Su sets.and about 75 sinlges or more.and running out of room.If I have to have this much then I have gone way overboard.I could not allow myself to be that greedy. My kids and my home need more things so For me I don't want it.Just my opinon.
I actually seen in add in a magazine recently. And the woman showed her stamping room and yes it was smaller than this.it was in rubber stamper july /august of 2005 page 88/89.she had the nicest room I think for stamppin I had ever seen.I love how she stacked her paper on the white wire racks she has a homemade wooden paper rack and these wire racks slide right into them.her whole setup is so neat and organized.

I like the descriptions...NW corner, East end, etc. LOL. You probably DO need a compass to navigate. My stamp "room" is my dining room table. I laughed when I saw all the filing cabinets to hold the card stock....I keep what little I have in one expanding file folder.

Surely you don't mean to imply that Cathy is greedy, right?

Hmmm...I didn't take Lisa's comment as meaning this individual you call Cathy was greedy. I saw it as her way of saying in her (Lisa's) current place in life, weighing income against needs, this would be a greedy thing for her (Lisa) to do.
WOWZA !!!!!!
My DH says I have to much stuff and I just said to him last week "dear there are women out there who have entire rooms being built just for stamping". Just wait till I show him this...
