My first thoughts were the same as everyone else's...
But then I spotted 3 kitties that look like that room is their oasis too and had fun playing spot the kitty. I love the shot of the cat's ears at the bottom of the pic like "hmm yeah that's a good shot".
After coming back and reading everyone's post I'm fascinated about how many showed their hubbys
I'd like to go there and play. Open those drawers just to see what she has like finding treasures.

I cannot believe this room. It just blows my mind that someone has a hugh room such as this in their home!!! It is simply to die for...in my dreams for sure, ha!

My first thought was" if I have trouble deciding which stamp set I want to use, how would I ever be able to choose from that many"! Not to mention paper choice, embellishments, ect... That place is overwhelming to me! I wonder if she conducts classes there, and has people pay her?
I think this is too much stuff! I could never know what I had and what I needed....
I think the dream stamp room would be Stamin' Up!'s creativity room with an endless amout of supplies and new products to try. That would be a dream.... if I could only work for SU from my house.
Judging from contents in her room........not only am I jealous, I need to tell her I'm adopted! ("Are you my mother?! ;)).......that room is about half the size of my trailer.
I dream about space like that. Holy Cow.

My first thought when I looked at this was "How does she find everything??" You know it would be nice to have, but I think it would be a bit overwhelming. It is just too much for me, I love to stamp...but this is just way too much. My husband saw this and was amazed.....
I have seen this room before just after feeling guilty for having 5 Iris carts. No guilt anymore after seeing wall-to-wall carts double stacked. One thing I never noticed before was how many different cats were in the picture. Too funny. I have my two that sometimes lay under my stamping table or nearby. Usually I am stuck with the smelly Basset with a scented candle to ward off her supportive scent.
To quote Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond: Holy Crap!
My demo mentioned this room to me when I met with her yesterday but man alive I had no idea of the extent of stuff this woman has! Maybe instead of looking for a 2br apt, I should start thinking about a house! Have to keep up with the Jonses, don't I?
I saw this posted a while ago and thought OMG!!!! Since I'm a short person the first thing that came to mind was how would you reach everything???? Her room is sooooo much larger than my house!!!!! What a great space to dream of though.

I must chime in here - that's just too much stuff!! I have to agree with gamblemom - I have enough trouble deciding which cool project I want to work on now. I can't imagine what it would be like in that place!
Although, I was oh so pleased to see all of her various kitties. My five fur-kids feel it is imperative to "help" me any time I'm in my stamp room.
And, I sent the link to my dh. He responded "that's pretty crazy". But he also noticed and appreciated all the kitties.
As we speak I am cleaning out my basement and trying to organize all my stamps and supplies. I was overwhelmed with what I have, but after seeing this, I should jump up and down with delite that I can buy more! I wonder if she rents herself out to help others organize their craft spaces? I've been trying to set up a place for all my stuff for the last year and I just keep accumulating more and being organized less. I think I need to take a month off of my day job and just focus on my basement. Hmmm.....maybe I can take a short leave of absence........

 That is a lot of stuff to be sure, but ..... I just don't think I could stand it!! I know, I'm strange, but it seemed so closed in. I like my room with lots of light and open space. I guess we are all different, huh?! Does the site say how big the room actually is??? If it did, I missed it.
That it definitely an amazing room! I think if I showed my DH he'd reach over and turn off the PC - I'm in the process of designing a new (small) stamping space for our house. Sort of a combo PC/craft area. He's not real excited about it, poor guy!
My question is, just how many cats does this woman have? I was playing find-the-kitty as I went through the pics for the third time and I count FIVE different cats! I'm an animal lover, but I can't imagine having that many cats!
I just checked it out!!!! I have to say IMO it's too much. I would feel so overwhelmed. I do need to print a picture off and hang it in my room so that when people comment on my 2 shelves of stamps I can say 'LOOK at that picture!" LOL
Kelli
Her craft room is in the Dec 2004 edition of Scrap & Stamp Arts on page 66 - 69.
Her name is Cathy Jones and she owns 14,470 stamps (at time of publication)
She became a Stampin Up demonstator in June 2001 with SU stamps counting at 4,160
I would love to have that many stamps, but to be so organized!!!

I stand corrected - I counted six different cats total! I wonder if she's developed a technique involving cat hair? Paw prints maybe? Hmmm.... Possibly tail swooshing? It would give the ink a nice feathery look!
I think she is a SU consultant and I would bet higher up than that. I would love to work in that room. Someday.
There are more than 6 cats, too! LOL I think she has 9, maybe more!
Yes, she's a demonstrator, and she's more of a hobbyist. LOL I know her from another board. We're trying to talk her into becoming a part of SCS...so keep an eye out for her. She's a real sweet heart and just REALLY loves SU! and stamping! We told her about the thread and she got a kick out of it!

Wow is right!!! I guess with only 2 cats I need to start collecting more of them as well as all the latest in craft items.
All I can say is when I saw the pictures is that I hope she shares all that stuff with her friends.
Can you imagine stamp camp or an evening of stamping at her house? I would be checking with the husband every week to be going!!! Cute cats and stamps - count me in!!!

WOW! Can you imagine the amount of money she spent on those iris carts?! I only wish I had that kind of money and space. And time. She's making us all jealous!
I, too, remember seeing this room in the Scrap & Stamp arts issue. My husband said he'd divorce me if I ever hoarded that much stuff. He certainly knows I would never go that far. I would certainly love to have a space other than the dining room table. My Mom (the SU rep) has her own little craft room at their new house. I sure hope I don't have to wait until retireement to get my own!
Cathy's room really inspired me to get my stamp room done; it will be done by June. It is a 11' x 17' room in the basement, I'm making an island of kitchen cabinets in the middle that will be 5.5' x 4.5' with a counter top-top. Think of all the storage!!! I have to closets;one at each end of the room now. They are small though. I will have 8 cupboards, 16 drawers in my island with 4 or 6 barstools around it! I'll post a picture when I'm done.
Trish
silly ? but does anyone think she calls in her orders? or fills them from her house? No way can she use all those stamps and I can't imagine they are all mounted! It does look like a store, I wonder what SU's take was on that picture. For all of us will small happy stampin places be proud we are so lucky to have something in our life that brings us such joy, also imagine taking inventory every yr for tax time I'd rather be stampin than counting my many stamps
4,000+ SU stamps - how many sets, I wonder?? Are the stamp sets in the black Iris Carts? I wonder if she has them all catalogued. I'm NOT a fan of cats, so I'm not envious of that part. <G> I actually like the parts of her room that are homier the best- like her computer area, and stuff.

WOW ... that's a bit much! I could never work in that room ... I'd feel like the walls were closing in on me. And my husband thinks I have too much stuff!
