I used to have a demonstrator who would "pre-profile" me before shows to see which sets I was craziest about and which I would like to have demonstrated at my show. Then she would make me samples from the sets I mentioned. It was pretty cool.
But then she moved away. :( I miss her, but my new demonstrator is super cool too, so it's all good either way!
I would love to be able to chose an ink pad. As a customer who has to order the ink pads as I can afford them, an ink pad in my color choice would be awesome!!

I voted for the gable box but what I usually do for door prizes is give them half a sheet of every color in one color family. They really seem to like it. The other thing that I do is pick an inpiration sheet and give them one sheet of every color on that sheet along with whatever accessories they use. Once I get some spots I will include one of the those also.
I voted for the gable box. My demo normally gives a little assortment of eyelets and brads. I love it! It's nice to have a couple of the "specialty" eyelets without having to buy a whole pack. But I do find that I hoard them! I also like the classic ink pad idea. I can always use an ink pad.
I like the idea about the 1/4 shee of paper the least. I would just stick them in my folders with the other scraps and honestly wouldn't get too excited about it.

I voted for the 1/4 pack of color family paper. As a hostess. you can make so many colorful cards on white card stock, try various color combinations with other colors, etc...I like to sample stuff. The eyelets and stuff are cool but what if a person is not that experienced yet. The stampin spot and larger stamp is also cool. Everything else you can pratically buy.

I love the idea of giving everything on the inspration sheet! Thanks or sharring that great idea!

They love getting those and it hasn't happened yet but maybe one of these days they will buy the set that goes with the sheet if they don't already have it.
i've only been to 4 parties, and hosted one of my own, but those all sound like fabulous prizes to me! i would be happy with any of them. the nicest thing i've seen at a party is a set of 4-5 full cards.

Everybody likes something different depending on what's going on at the time. Giving Choices are always good in my book. A basket of items to choice from is a nice touch.
Lately I have been making up 3 things for each party--card pack (4 and envies), incentive stamp and spot, and other of what I have around (last time it was pieces from old scrappin kits). As I need them they get to choose. They felt good to choose as opposed to just taking what I had. I will continue to do this.
I loved all the options - but ultimately voted for the 10 pack of cards - to me that would mean a lot - it would say my demo cared enough to spend her time making me cards!
I'm just funny about hand made things - love them love them!
I'd love the stamp pad or 2nd choice - the spot and incentive stamp. I wouldn't care for the premade cards. I'm into this hobby to do my own stamping - I'd rather have supplies to further that.
As a customer and frequent hostess (3-4 times a year), any of the first 4 would be great! My demo gives the hostess the demos from the workshop plus about 4 additional cards when orders come in. I'm not sure $5 off (even though that's the same as a free ink pad) would have the same wow as a free pad, and I'd be less wowed by the 1/4 sheets than the other options. I know people with all 48 colors in ink, paper, etc, so having other options would be great, too. Maybe make a basket with a couple of options? Choices are always good, and if people are excited by the door prize options and you tell them they can get them by booking....you see where I'm going with this.
I voted for the 10 pack of card samples -- I can't imagine how excited I would be to get that as a gift! In fact, I get tingly just imagining that I might have a CHANCE to get it!!!
My demo is Macavelliean (spelling is way off, but it means very wisely devious!) When there is a big promo going on she will mail me some info on it and include a handmade card done with one of the new sets (and always one I don't have --- hmmmmm!) Of course, I get this fabulous card and bingo!, I must have the set! If I were to get 10 sample cards at one time it would be a major "must have that set" moment....
definitely the card samples!!!!

I voted for the pack of 10 cards, just the effort and time alone to make all those would WOW me! My demo offers a basket full of choices for door prizes, it might have a selection of 1/2 sheets of CS, a stampin spot and incentive stamp, a little baggie with eyelets, a baggie with glitter, a baggie with tags, a couple of stamps that coordinate from a sell-a-bration set (like quick and cute, for example), etc. etc. You can chose the door prize you want when your name is selected.
She has often offered a free ink pad when you are the hostess, but I like the idea of $5 off your order or the gable box with goodies as well as the 10 cards! (I think you could also give fewer than 10 to Wow customers!)
Good luck deciding, everything sounds great and I think if you let them make their own choice, then everyone would be happy!
I think that all of your ideas are great, and any hostess would be thrilled to get them, but I am a little concerned. I am curious if you are a new demo. You seem to have alot of exuberance which is WONDERFUL, but I am afraid that you will be giving away all of your profits. I know on occasion I have had parties that really stretch to make it to the 150 which means I am only getting 30 dollars. After gas and supplies, I am making 20 dollars. Now if this happens and you are giving away a 5 dollar ink pad, you just made 15 dollars for alot of time and effort.
I really don't want to be a downer, just bringing another opinion. I myself used to "give away the farm" to my hostesses. I have since learned. Now I give my hostesses an assortment of inspiration sheets (usually 10) and the projects that I demoed at her show. (2-3). All of my hostesses are thrilled and it costs me very little b/c the projects were part of my demo anyhow, and the inspiration sheets are less than 5 cents each.
I hope that this makes sense, and isn't taken the wrong way. It's just something I wish someone would have told me.
I don't mind giving the hostess a nice gift up to $5, but they get the catalog. If they already have a catalog, then I offer them a classic pad of their choice. I keep the incentive stamps for people who sign up for a workshop as a booking gift.
For door prizes, I give away the cards I demonstrate. I usually demonstrate 4 projects with one make and take. Then, the other three I make I give away as the door prize. As mentioned before, it's always good to have good give-aways, but you need to remember that you are always trying to make at least a small profit.
All my customers get an inspiration sheet as they are what I use to demonstrate from. People like to have something in hand to look at while you are demonstrating. That way I can talk about how easy it is to make cute things with stampin up's products and how versitile the sets are. They have a sheet in front of them with literally 15 or so ideas (especially when you consider the alternative stamp sets and colors the inspiration sheets show).
Good Luck. I hope things go well for you.

I chose Mini Gable box with goodies, but I would have chosen "Any Of The Above" if it was an option. Those are all really great ideas! I think any of them would *wow* and you could always offer a choice or mix it up.
Oh my! These are all incredible gifts. I would be happy with any of them, however, I love the idea of being able to choose from a selection of gifts. That is the best of both worlds!
I used to give away something stamped, with chocolate and an incentive stamp.
Now I give away "Card Making Kits" which are half sheets of cardstock (usually 3 colored pieces and one neutral), a couple of matching envelopes, a jumbo incentive stamp, and some ribbon that coordinates. I pick the colors of cardstock to match the stamp image. My hostesses really seem to like these a lot.

I like the idea of putting the paper and supplies with an inspiration sheet.......very clever!
I would suggest an assortment. That way someone can choose. The favorite thing I EVER got from a demo was the card organizer for the year. That was really cool. So Kim, if you are reading thing thread, THANK YOU!
I have been a very good hostess for over 8 years now. Three different demo's since we are Air Force and move frequently, so have seen a lot of different ideas on the hostess gift. Another good one was a stationary set with coordinating envelopes, stamped paper, and holder.
