Anyone know of a great place to donate some retired Stampin' UP! stamps that I need to get rid of and can't seem to sell to anyone. I have about 15 sets that need to find a new home. I would like them to go to a place where they would be well loved and used. Do children's hospitals, schools, or other places take donations for things like this? Just thought I would check and see if anyone knew of a good way to donate these supplies.
I just recently donated alot of my scrapbooking supplies to our area Hospice and Pallative care. They have a art therapist that was thrilled to receive the supplies for an upcoming event.
I'm not sure if there is such a program in your area, but I know here there is a scrapbooking program with Child & Family Services for foster care children. They use it to document their lives since so many seem to loose their childhood & early memories bounced around from home to home.
You can always do a donation to a Goodwill in your area. Someone will buy them at a small price, and love them! You'll get a small tax write-off. Always a good choice.
Oh, never mind me! My greed for all things stamping is getting the better of me. I am thoroughly ashamed of the above post. (Red, red face).
LOL Sorry I was just browsing the threads and laughed out loud at this.
I recently purged unwanted stuff and had tons of stamps I didn't want anymore. I gave my real-life stamping friend first choice of everything. Then I took the remainder to a lady who leads monthly card-making bashes (for free) and all those cards go to Operation Write Home. So I kinda felt like I was indirectly supporting a worthy cause. Everything that SHE did not want, went to a co-worker's daughter.

Check out your LSS to see if they have a donation program. Mine collects donations for a charity that helps out schools, clubs and centers for both kids and adults.
I would say that you could donate them to me, LOL, but that wouldn't be too PC. I could certainly fulfill the "use them often and love them well" requirement. If you CAN'T find (an unlikely scenario, I know) a charity/organization that would like to take them off your hands, let me know.

I'm glad a couple of people found the post humorous. I looked at it after, and thought it might sound a bit offensive, not like the attempt at a joke it was meant to be.
