Default Doggy Memory Can

I'm invited to a Puppy Shower! Yes, a brand new puppy. I made a memory can out of a paint can. The problem is, I can't think of a poem or anything that would be significant for them to put in the paint can.

Any thoughts?

THANKS.

Priscilla
How great a puppy shower! now i know that me and my friends aren't the only ones that do wonderful things for our dogs.
I think a tooth fairy tin would be great for saving all those puppy teeth that they lose. I have one with all my old dogs teeth she lost when she got older.

And how about a personalized brag book, maybe along the lines of a baby album scrapbook that the owner can take in her purse, cuz we know everyone loves baby pictures

Um, a little toy, a chewy rawhide, a baby blanket, a stuffed animal, maybe a gift certificate to a local pet supply store. a cookie jar or some special puppy biscuits.
checkout the dollar store for the brag book and lots of other ideas as noted above. maybe a cute picture frame too, i know i have a couple on my desk for my dogs pics.
have fun

Thanks for the suggestions. I found a mini photo album that happens to have a picture of her particular dog on the cover. I don't know the name of this type of dog... sorry. And a gift certificate to a local pet store. Doggie treats. But any suggestions of a poem like the ones they have for weddings and babies? THANKS so much you guys!

O Lord, don't let me once forget,
How I love my trusty pet -
Help me learn to disregard
canine craters in my yard.
Show me how to be a buddy
even when my sofa's muddy.
Don't allow my pooch to munch
postal carriers for lunch.
Shield my neighbor's cat from view,
guide my steps around the doo.
Train me not to curse and scowl
when it's puppy's night to howl.
Grant I shan't awake in fear
with a cold nose in my ear.
Give me patience without end -
Help me be "A DOG'S BEST FRIEND

What a nice poem. It's my puppy's first birthday today - Happy Birthday to Mickey!!

I think I'll add this to a scrapbook page for him. Love the shower idea!

We, many times will take a people poem of the same topic and just adjust it for a canine or feline. Takes some imagination, but comes out really cute.

My daughter Welsh (female, Golden Retriever) sends a lot of cards to her canine and feline friends.

I love the poem & the idea of a puppy shower, my poor poodle has to use my last dog's food bowl & the water dish is from two dogs back (wow that water dish must be over 20 years old)! She also has to use the last dog's rain coat & sweater (when I can get them on her lol). I wish I had thought of a puppy shower to get new stuff for her!
