from Provo craft, and if you do, how do you get it to work? I can make spectacular rows of holes, but no stitches. I know it's been a long time since I've thread a sewing machine, but yikes! I've looked at the picture, read the directions numerous times, and nothing!
Even the clerk at Michael's asked me, "Do you think this is going to work???" increduously I might add. The customer behind me said that she bought one but had never used it yet. I'm ready to return it if I can't get it to work.
Ha Ha, I didn't return mine, cause I thought it was just me, since I hated the sewing part of my Home Economics in '66. Aren't you gals glad you don't have take that garbage class anymore? The machine is a total waste -- at least I got mine with the Michael's 40% coup. Just buy SU's faux stitching template and have fun instead of frustration.

What I didn't like about it was you could only sew around the edges of a page. You could not patchwork on a 12 x 12 which is what I guess I had in mind to do. I took mine back as well.
I didn't buy one but we caried them at the LSS I worked at and we all hated it and never re-order them! I don't know why they still make them? I could get it to sew but there is no backstitch so when I went to pull it out to tie it off it always undid my stitched, very frustrating! I'd return it if I were you!
I got one as a gift and have yet to use it. The person who gave it to me got one for herself- she says it works, maybe she has had better luck with it.
It looks neat, but I've heard stories of how bad it is.
I have a mat pack/ paper piercer and gel pen from SU to get me through!
That's what I was afraid of! Okay, so I've learned not to trust everything, even editors of stamp magazines, say! I should have been forewarned when the clerk questioned me about it. I didn't have a 40% off coupon, but I'll be taking it back today. I do already own the SU! mat pack (and love it), but since I've seen so much actual stitching in the SU catalog, I thought I'd give it a try. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, after your read about something in the magazine, type the product's name into a search engine on SCS and see what the truth is!

I so agree! I was trying to do the cheap route since I'm not a sewer - by any means. If it actually worked like it was supposed to, it would be perfect for me!
I got one ages ago and have NEVER used it...I even bought the adaptor and the book with extra bobbins of thread in it...guess I'll return it to Mike's. I also used 40% off coupon with it. I don't have receipt since I bought it so long ago but they will give me store credit and I'm ALWAYS there for something or another. Thanks so much for the input and advice. I will just use my regular sewing machine although it is so much bigger but at least it'll work when I want it too. LOL
