If I am making more than one of the card, I use MS Word and use the postcard template divides your page into 4 equal blocks the size of a cardfront. After I print it out, I cut it at 5.5" and 4.25" like a cardfront. From there you can size it as you see fit. Sometimes I cut 1/8" off all the way around so it is 5 1/4" x 4" - just like a layer on the front of the card and put it inside the card.

I had my husband buy me a cheap inexpensive card making program as a stocking stuffer one year. LOL, you should have seen the expression on his face, "you want to make cards on the computer!!?" No I want to print the greetings inside without all the measuring and hassle.

Easy peasy now and as a bonus I got basic picture editing software with the program as well.

I do both - print directly on the cardstock or onto printer paper to cut for the inside. I learned the hard way not to use straight black. It's too bold and almost hard to read - now I use a dark gray if I'm not using color. Much prettier and easier on the eyes.

I think it was the same one someone else already mentioned by Nova. He got it at an office supply on sale plus "club dollars" which made it cheap.

In the past I have used others as well though. Most of the basic programs are similar in what you get and how you use them: Predefined templates, fonts, clip art and very basic editing software. So keep your eyes open and don't forget to check in unexpected stores such as an office supply.
