nope, if i get hungry i will stop and grab something to eat, and it's pure torture sitting and looking at my project but not touching, but i have to stick to my rule!
Nope! Can't, otherwise I'll make a mess and leave crumbs and greasy stains all over! I hate it when I forget to wash my hands and get a weird marking from food oils on my beautiful papers! So no touching until I am done.
A glass of water for me. Maybe some almonds, or pretzels. I would be afraid to munch on something and then touch supplies or heaven forbid, my card in progress, with yucky fingers. But if I've been stamping since the morning and it becomes happy hour, a glass of wine has been known to find its way into my hand...

No Way!! Last summer I lost 22 pounds on WW and stamping and drifting around on SCS were my substitute activities for eating. Now the 22 pounds plus are back on but I still won't eat when stamping - only a bottle of cold water. Used to cross stitch when I could see well enough, and always washed a sink of dishes before sitting down to stitch so my hands were clean and the natural oils were down to a minimum. I don't mix food and crafting.

OH NO!!!
no food or drinks are aloud on my work surface!
i had a friend over and she had a glass of tea on her desk... you guessed it! she spilled it. she looked at me and said 'now i know why you don't allow it on yours'
if i want something that bad i will take a break and snack. there is a small counter within reach that i will have a glass of tea there most of the time.
Yep, I even have a "goodie" jar (yes, it actually says that) on my work surface. My personal fav is when it's full of red Swedish Fish...my daughter filled it today so it now has Hot Tamales. I am also a huge fan of Mike & Ikes. I do try and stay away from chocolate...too messy!
i always have a drink on my desk. well, on the windowsill. because i knocked over a whole glass of orange juice once. and yeah. now i leave my drink on the windowsill above my desk.
and i always have a bag of m&m's on my desk as well. a big bag (like, 56 ounces, which i buy at BJ's. what can i say, i've got a chocolate problem!). though, everyone else knows where they are. so i generally don't get many of them. lol.

When at home stamping I don't snack. But when I get together with the group at my local stamp store we all snack. The owners mom bakes homemade cookies for the store. So we are always eating cookies.
Ice water only. And I keep it on a desk separate from my projects.
Me too! I always washed my hands before crocheting and never ate anything while I was working (Kinda hard to with that hobby ) and the same applies to papercrafting. I will eat and browse online, though!
I snack. I eat a lot of candy. I'm actually eating a little bit more healthy now as I'm going through the website - tasty watermelon. My hubby came in to give me a bowl. When I'm actually stamping away, I'm usually eating candy...try not to get the messy kind. ;-)
very rare. I do keep a cup of water handy, but it stays in that cup holder thingie that attaches to my desk (I'm so technical) and doesn't go ON my desk. ever.
Gasp - I don't snack anytime. My family and friends think I am exceedingly strange, but I never eat between meals. Don't know why, but I just never have.
And another strange thing, I don't like soda or other drinks, just water. I do drink coffee though, several cups a day.
Yeah, I know. I'm no fun.

Coffee in the am Water the rest of the time. I always have a drink. There is a small refridge by my desk always has a HUGE Hersheys special dark and I ususally have a box of Cheese ITs and some pretzels stashed too..so I am good to go.
Blessings.

Me too. Any drink can be across the room next to the couch but not near the work area. I'm way too clumsy! My husband calls me a "happy disaster" in the kitchen!
oh, i wish i didn't snack!! i usually have a stash of kisses, m&ms, jelly beans or crackers hidden from my kidlets. i also always have a drink of some sort ... iced tea, water, soda or wine cooler in that thingy that hooks on my table. i have never spilled anything on my table (floor, yes!) ... knocking on wood ... but when/if that happens i may have to move the snacks and food away!
Yep, I snack at my work table. I snack when I read, I snack when I sew, snack when bored. I also work part time as a personal trainer, so I burn it all off.

I want to be more like you - no snacking between meals - good for you. I don't have enough will power. I started snacking and the other night I had salted peanuts well I had to have baby wipes beside me the whole night. What a waste of stampin time. After that I said "no more". My stampin time is way to precious to me. Besides this summer I was very naughty and have put too many pounds on so I have to quit that.

Oh man... it never crossed my mind to snack while I'm stamping!! I just recently had a wider-bottomed coffee mug in there with some Vitamin Water.
I have a pretty small work space so there's no spot to put a snack, but this mug can sit in a corner where it's pretty safe. I think the reason snacking hasn't occurred to me is less because it will mess up my work and more because I don't want to pick up anything with my messy inky fingers!! I need baby wipes next to my work area always because I'm terrible for getting stray ink marks on my projects from messy fingers.
Of course, with my mug on my desk, I do worry that I'll drop something in it... I don't want to drink a brad or a dimensional paper backing LOL!!

Wow - that's the life ! You just inspired and motivated me!
No snacking or drinking for me, I am terrified that it will end up spilled or on my work! But I am a huge Starbucks drinker and when I am working for along while in the craft room, I will usually work with my coffee. I just keep it on the other side of my craft room and get up when I need to take a swig.
I may have water or tea but very rarely do I eat while crafting. I worry about getting food on the item I'm working on or getting ink/glue/glitter on my food. None of these tastes very good.
I use to keep some Skittles nearby but once the kids figured it out they kept asking for them. Even my neighbor, who I was helping with a school project, knew where to look for my stash. LOL

I usually have something to drive with me - either water or a diet coke. If I have any snacks, it's dry roasted, unsalted almonds. I don't want to have anything around that has any grease or salt on it. One of my favorite snacks is Cheetos, but I would have to make all my cards using orange CS if I ate them.

I usually have a beverage of some sort...coffee...iced tea...water...diet pop...etc. I've not snacked in there...but my kitchen is very close to the stamp room so I don't have very far to go if I am hungry. Also...if you ever saw all the *carp* piled on my stamp table...you'd understand. There is NO room!;)

Only at Scrap Retreat or Weekend getaways to scrap with the girls at the beach or in the mountains. I like M&M or Trail Mix types of snacks. Usually I try to stay away from what I am working on though. Thank God for my drink holder...
If I am planning a multi-hour craft session, a snack and beverage are usually somewhere in the larger area (I craft in a room in the basement and I have several safe places to pit food without risking a project).
When I get hungry or thirsty I will wash my hands and eat (I usually wash my stamp scrubber first ... I have a few refills so i don't need to wait for it to dry).
I'm a caffeine junkie so my choices are coffee (hot or iced) or Diet Coke, honey wheat pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, kettle cooked potato chips, or tortilla chips. Sometimes I take a "real" break and have a bowl of cocoa crisp cereal or a sandwich. I almost always have a cold bottle of water handy too.
But I do not eat or drink while actually crafting.

I love crunchy Cheeto's but they are rarely seen in my house because orange is my least favorite color ;)
