Do you remember...
your first stamp purchase ever?
Mine was nice n easy notes. I thought it was so versatile, but never really used it. That was a couple years ago.

Lucky Me. It was retiring and I liked it. But I didn't get any paper, ink, or anything so it sat under my bed for a few months. But then when my daughter was born, I bought Special Delivery and then it all snowballed from there
I was going to buy flutterbys but the card we did cost about $100 and I couldn't justify that. Now, I've probably spent about $5000 in the last 2 years, but at my first show, I had no idea. So my big problem now is trying to figure out what cards to do. It seems like everything I do costs at least $100. But after my experience, I'd like to keep cards around $50 for all products and then boost with embellishments. Unless I'm with seasoned stampers and then a $100 card is fair game!

My first purchase was Nice & Easy Notes. My 5 year old neice uses it every week. I attended a workshop as a guest of a friend. I only purchased the catalog at that workshop and we dated a double host workshop which was over $500 My friend took Holiday Hannah and I earned Button Bear. But I purchased Nice & Easy Notes at my workshop. I still have that 1997-98 catalog.

My first order was for Festive Fall, which retired last year, and Snowflakes. I was doing my wedding programs and wanted snowflakes and swirls, so that's why!

My first order was not that long ago and I ordered Loads of Love, Little Hellos, and Greetings Galore... I love that little truck, but am still wondering about the other two- what was I thinking? :?

Christmas Peace, back in '97 I think. I was totally unfamiliar with stamping, went to a party I'd been invited to, just to see what it was all about. I remember being absolutely "wowed" when my demonstrator stamped the tree from that set on glossy white with the Kaleidacolor Calypso pad, then applied some Dazzling Diamonds over it. I was hooked!!!!!! And thanks for the memory!

My daughter invited me to a SU workshop and I had no clue what to buy. This was my first look at the catty. I bought Holiday Sampler and Snow Globe. I think I made a good choice.

Favorite Teddy Bear....
Being the type that has to get the most "bang" for her buck...yeh, yeh...I know it's also called cheap...heheh!!!
How could I pass up "Favorite Teddy Bear" when you get 15---count 'em...all those "versatile" stamps all in one set!!!
That's where it all started and the next thing I knew I HAD to become a demo...to feed the "habit"
So, do ya think there's a "re-hab" for out of control stampers...hmmmm....do ya think we could bring our stamps there?!?!

I went to my first SU workshop in November of 2003. My son's OT had tolk me that stamping would be good for increasing his hand strength. So I bought DinoMite for him and Vertical Greetings for me. After I saw how nice the stamps were I hardly ever let my son use them! Now that I am a demo, I do not mind when he uses them, I have gotten past the "Oh no, there is ink on my wood stage!" By the way, I became a SU demo one year ago today! I am so addicted that I happily see no end in sight to my addiction!
As far as Vertical Greetings is concerned I hate it! The only thing I can think is that I thought it would be so versatile. I was so amazed when it made it in the 2004-2005 catalog. Nice and Easy Notes was my next stamp set purchased and I just love it! In Full Bloom is now my all time favorite though.

I bought a "To: From:" stamp with a Christmas Teddy Bear! It was years ago at our local fair...and some ink and imbossing powder. It must have been 15 years ago now!! I have bought a few since, but not until I found SU last month did I "get" stamping and it all fell into place. I would buy stamps, but not really know what to do with them!! I was stamping impared!! Once the lightbulb went on, I decided to become a demo and learn as much as I could...I am quite excited and I have not even received my kit yet!! I am looking forward to my first SU stamps!!!!

My very first stamp was a birthday gift from my mom - it was a unicorn (was 12 years old!) and my name spelt properly - and some glitter embossing powder and a rainbow stamp pad. I had so much fun with those stamps.
Now, my next stamp purchase was 13 years later, and was the ivy background from SU! I loved using it in my scrapbooks.
And the addiction really begain when I got an alphabet set stamp from my best friend for christmas for scrapbooking - have not looked back since!
I am quite happy being addicted.
Besides, who wants to get 'cured' when the meetings are so much fun!
Karin.

I'd bought a few cheap stamps that I hardly ever used, then about 5 years ago was invited to my first SU party and was hooked on card-making. I think my first sets were the DD Daisy, Great Greetings and Sensational Scenery. All now retired.

Sure do!
I went to my very first SU! party 12 years ago and was hooked. At that time SU! sold stamps from various companies. I fell in love with DJ Inkers little dalmation dog. I bought that, black ink, Top Boss embossing pad, black emb. powder, the Rubberstampede grass and flowers and the bare tree. I still have them. Can't part with them, they got me hooked!!!

Do you remember...
My very first stamp purchase was my starter kit!!! That was three and a half years ago when we could not choose which sets we got. I didn't much like what came in the kit so it wasn't long before I was buying, buying, buying!

My first stamp ever was a bear and a greeting. I was taking an embossing class (to learn how to stamp) at a local store and immediately was 'hooked' on stamping. About 4 years later I went o my first SU party and purchased DD hydrangea (I cried when they retired it) and used it ALL the time. After that first party I went home and told my DH I was signing up to be a demostrator "just to support my habit". That was 5 1/2 years ago and I NEVER ONCE regretted it!
Still supporting my habit!

A Greeting for All Reasons was my first set. I have to say I'm not liking the words stamps in that set anymore (when it's the only one you have, you tend to use them on EVERYTHING!!!), but I DO love the other stamps, like the holly and the flower (I still use the flower A LOT).
Soooo, I definitely will NOT get rid of them

My first stamp was a kitty stamp ( I think by Stampendous, it's still available). My first SU stamps were Itty Bitty Backgrounds so I could make my own background paper on my scrapbooks.

My first set was the demonstrator kit-Fresh flowers. But my first stamp was a little sprig of Ivy that matched my curtain fabric from JoAnn's in 1991, I was a newlywed. I envy all you that found stampin' up so much sooner. I don't know how I stamped for 13 years without Stampin' Up!
