All these threads about the most or the least comments made me wonder... I was wondering if you post your best work or only the stuff you think will do "well" on SCS?
I can't help myself thinking, as I'm making the card, "Oh, 'they'll' like this one!" or "Uh, this one's not good enough to post on Splitcoast."
Well, I don't post my disasters, but generally if it's good enough to be sent, it's good enough to be posted. If everything had to be "worthy" I couldn't post anything in the galleries here.
Not everyone is good enough to be a dirty girl but we should all be proud of what we can do.
Ditto what Skittle1321 said--but there are certain styles of cards that I tend not to post because I've discovered they aren't very popular on SCS: Native American/southwest, Asian.
I post pictures of most of my cards that haven't been thrown away. There is one card that I have posted which is version 1 of something I'd eventually like to make. I guess I partially view my gallery as a way to see my progress. If I waited to only post cards that were "good enough," I wouldn't be posting much.
I've just been putting up the lame little attempts that I make. I don't think they are nearly as good as all the ladies here, but I also just started...so it's work in progress. I am the kind of person who likes to see the progression of the work that I do...so I figure it is just doumentation even if they aren't the -best- cards in the gallery. ;)

That's a good way to look at it. Sometimes if you check out the "older" additions from the SCS dirty girls or "stars" you can see how their styles and techniques have changed over time! I personally hope I'm getting better all the time! You can't help but learn from this place!
I used to post almost everything I made then I would go back and look at my gallery and wonder what I was thinking when I made that card and WHY I added it to my gallery!
I just post things that I consider 'worthy'. I don't typically post anything that a straight (or relatively close) CASE - and since I CASE a lot, I don't post much
I pretty much post everything, unless it's a disaster OR it's a suprise for someone on SCS. Then I post it after they get it ;)
I like to look at my older cards and see how far I've come too. It really bothers me when people talk about deleting their older cards because they don't like them anymore. I also have a problem with "re-doing" scrapbook pages. I mean, I liked them when I did them, and I am SO far behind, I don't have the time to "re-do" anything!

I try to only post stuff that is completely my own. I do a lot of casing, simply because I'm realitively new to stamping... picked up my very first stamp and inked it exactly one year ago this week! I'm still "learning" my style, and try to post everything. Sometimes I forget to take a pic before mailing it out though!
I post almost everything, so there is quite a bit that isn't very impressive. ;) I like having a running tab of things I have done and the SCS gallery is a great place for that. I have considered deleting some of the ones that I don't like, but it wouldn't be a good representation of the work I do. So...some of it stinks...lol!
I rarely post my cards-I kind of go in waves. Like I added in 3 today b/c they are from the new catty. But I stamp more for me and do more cards to actually send out-so they tend to be less technique based. If I am trying our a technique, or challenge I will usually post.

I know my quality will never get the 52 or better comments & I am fine with that. I add to my gallery as I think about it. Alot of cards go out & then I think I should have taken a picture & added it to my gallery so I could case it later. I have a very expensive digital camera & my pics still do not do my cards justice. I think my cards look alot better IRL so I am not offended if I don't recieve any comments on a card. Although, I love it when I do

I post it all.....cases, flops, those that need ~just a bit more something~, whatever....I vary a LOT in quality so I want to encourage those who are just starting (like I am). Sort of "See here- I made two terrible cards, one pretty card and two serviceable cards" That is a good week for me
I post the ones that "haven't gotten away". I am terrible for waiting until the last minute to make a card, so there is NO WAY I'd have time to scan it! I also go in waves about posting, there just isn't enough time in the day (and like another thread going, most of the time I've found time to post, it's Sunday afternoon...and I DO abide by "no posting Sundays").
THEN, when I finally do find non-Sunday time to post some cards (the ones sitting on top of my scanner from Sunday) I just get caught up in oohing and ahhing over the gallery...
I used to post almost everything I made then I would go back and look at my gallery and wonder what I was thinking when I made that card and WHY I added it to my gallery!
These days I dont post everything!

Guilty on both counts, too. ;)

Well, I just started a gallery today, actually, so I don't have much experience with what to post and what not to post. We just got a digital camera last year so I've been keeping a better record of what cards I made but before that, I don't have much. I'm a lazy stamper and so I don't make a huge amount of cards anyway, so I would say that I will probably post most of the cards I make (as long as they don't end up in the trash). I'm with whoever said that if they are good enough to send out, they are good enough to post. But if it was an exact case, I don't think I'd post it.
I have noticed (as Dyu mentioned above) that the quality of my cards don't seem to come through as nice in the pictures as in real life. Maybe it's the resolution allowed for the galleries, but my pictures come out nice when I take them and then after posting them on SCS, they tend not to show as much detail. *shrug* Not much we can do about that, really. I'm just glad there's a place like SCS where we can share. I hope everyone posts most of their work because sometimes, what you may consider an uninspiring card, I may look at it and think - oh, that was neat, there's an element I can incorporate into a card.

Another excellent point! I love that you started a gallery today and I hope you enjoy seeing it grow, and even change over time! Congratulatons!!!
I confess that I have deleted one thing from my gallery but then I thought I would leave everything else. You never know what will inspire others since there are so many of us on so many different levels. I have a friend that I encouraged to join us on SCS, and she liked that some of the cards were accessible and some were more awe inspiring. I think that range and those varying levels of stamping is what makes it so cool to be here! There's room for all!
I post almost everything, too, unless it was too rushed or REALLY horrible (so horrible it won't go to anyone).
I like seeing how I've evolved as well. I recently added some cards to my gallery that were a bit older, and I really think they stand out style-wise from my current cards! It's fun to see how we grow and change!

I post everything I make, so I know what to improve. Obviously, even though it's embarassing, some of my cards don't have comments because of my lack in creativity. It's humbling, but very appreciated!
I post most of my stuff, although not everything. I confess I have deleted some cards for various reasons. I do have them all saved in one directory at home and those never get deleted (well, at least I haven't yet!). I used to get disappointed when I did a card I was proud of and it got very few comments. These days it doesn't bother me so much. I just accept that some days it just doesn't happen to be the look that people were into that particular day (things tend to go in phases I think). If I'm proud of it and still like it, it stays my gallery. I look at it like weeding out my closet. I may have really loved those pants "back in the day", but now they just make me shake my head. I don't burn all my pictures of me wearing them, but I don't necessarily plaster them all over for the world to see!

I used to post everything I made because after I would make the card I could scan the card in the next room but then I started to take my pics with my digital camera and I have to do that upstairs so I forget sometimes.
I no longer upload cards that were a disaster but some of my previous ones had lots of comments.
I don't post everything I make, because once I post a card, I become obsessed with how many comments it is or is not getting, and I waste too much stamping time checking on how my card is doing. It's like the old saying, "A watched pot never boils." Sometimes the ones I haven't checked on for a while are the ones that get the most comments. If I posted everything, I would take away too much of my valued stamping time. And as already said here somewhere, I too only post things that are basically my original work and not something I've copied. Often they are inspired by others' cards on this site, but not CASEd exactly.

Hey, I look at it that way, too!!!
This gave me a chuckle!

I hardly ever post my cards either. When I do, I find that I am too obsessed about the number of comments. If I could just add to my gallery in order to give others ideas and samples, I would do that. But, my type A personality prevents me from just posting to be helpful. Wish I could, but it's all too stressful for me!
I post everything. Makes kind of a record so I can see how I have evolved as a stamper.
This is pretty much what I started to do. I know that some of the things I've posted are pretty bad, but I sent them out and will forget about them unless I save them somehow. This is a great way to save them and see the changes over time.
I don't post stuff I'm not happy about. I don't post the cards I CASE either. I figure everyone has seen them once already! Now...if I change something up a little I'll post it. My gallery is definitely small 'cause I CASE a bunch!
