I favor older Stampin Up sets. My favorite years are 1997-2006. I've noticed a lot of gaps in the index for sets from these years. If you own some of these years' sets maybe take a peek, see if there's an index you could stamp out and submit. If no one else does, I plan on submitting Love Bakes (can you believe it isn't indexed?), but I don't own the Hutch or the Old Fashioned Stove stamps. If we join together we could revitalize some terrific, possibly underused sets.
P.S. You'll find there's overlap in set titles between old and newer, so maybe include the year with the title (would a mod offer an appropriate suggestion)?
It's certainly great and helpful to have index cards for older sets, but just be aware that there are not, in fact, galleries for all of them. SCS only started in 2003/04, so most sets earlier than that don't have galleries and aren't likely to unless a certain number (which I can't currently call to mind,) of uploads are in the gallery. Using the set name in the keyword field would certainly bring it up in any searches. And possibly if you contact Karen (kthaman), she would change the user name so that it shows under "galleryindex" instead of the name of the person who uploaded it, which is what we do with regular index uploads.
I love the older sets, too. And I have many of them. When there is no gallery for that set, I do a search and usually come up with many posts & terrific ideas. Thanks for the reminder Sabrina.
So glad I finally posted. It's probably pretty obvious to so many others what to do, but I hadn't thought to do a general search for a set. Cool beans (lol)! Thanks ladies!

I just tried to look up a set named "Mother's Love" which, unfortunately, has been used again for a contemporary set, so results for the older one are difficult to find. I'm good at a Google keyword, but seem to flail around on SCS.
Using the advanced search option helps reduce the number of results returned, because the default is that the upload must contain ALL the words you put in the search field. You can also add a username, so if you put galleryindex in the username field, then if there is an index card it should be the only result. As a gallery mod I use this a LOT when people upload cards and just say SU without saying what set they used.
And oh my yes, using the same name for two different sets is such a pain. Not just for people uploading to the wrong gallery, but I know people have bought sets secondhand and ended up being rather surprised to receive a set other than the one they were expecting.
So the keywords will pick up on any word within that upload, not only where the user indicates which materials were used? Well that DOES make a difference. I've got to spend more time playing with keywords. I confess, when I'm looking for a set I'm usually trying to do so quickly, and not investing a lot of time. This info helps tremendously, ladies.

Yes, a generic search in the main search bar will bring up other instances of a word, not just in the keyword or supplies field but also in the write-up. It's one extra click to bring up the advanced search dialogue, but it does help narrow the results down.
It would probably be even more useful to you if we were able to be more specific with dates, but it only allows you to say within the last x days/months/years, rather than being able to say all results prior to 20-whenever the new Mother's Love set was released ;-).
