I use So Very ALL the time - it's so versatile. Very Punny... well, let's just say that I wish I'd thought through it a little more before I mounted it, because I think I'd use it more if I'd thought to separate the words and the images and mount them on different sides of the block. Some of the puns are kind of dumb, and it's kind of a pain to have to marker it every time when I have comparable stamps from other sets without the words. One of these days I may microwave them and get the words off, and maybe I'll use them more then.
Using a marker to color just part of the stamp (in this case, the image without the words), rather than an ink pad that will put ink on the whole stamp.
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I love Very Punny. I disgard the sentiments by putting a small piece of tape over it when I ink it up. I always use Stazon so I can't really use a marker to color the image as I don't want the ink to run when I watercolor. The little images are adorable and can be made into so many interesting scenes.
I have lots of cards in my gallery using the cow, pig, frog, and fishy. Check it out if you would like ideas.
I borrowed my friends Very Punny set & loved it, so I bought it on Ebay But when I mounted mine I did separate the words from the image & I like it better that way.
I love them both. I can use both of them in my scrapbooking as well as card making. I seperated my words when I mounted Very Punny. I use Very Punny alot more because of it I think.
I love Very Punny (and I mounted mine with the sayings separate). I'd recommend putting an ISO on here because there are probably demos who would be happy to part with it. It's not a current set, so we have no reason to demo it.
I use my very punny a lot - especially for kid related stuff (cards, projects, etc..). I did mount mine separately and am so glad that I did because I've gotten way more use out of it that way.
I wish I had mounted mine separately, too. Although I've used the words, I've never stamped them exactly where they are on the stamps--if you know what I mean. I use the scotch tape method--easier than using a marker for me.

I thought it was such a cute set, too but I just don't use it a lot... I love the little characters, especially for background patterns...
I'm going to do this today and I'm sure I'll be much happier with it...
I have just Very Punny and use it from time to time.
I mounted mine with the words and the image together.
Anytime I want to use just the image I use Scotch tape over the saying. While inking the image. When I am finished inking the image. I then take off the scotch tape and stamp with it!
I use the images from Very Punny more than I thought I would--but I did mount the words separately and haven't used them at all. So Very--haven't used it much at all, either, but thought I need to put it with my scrapbooking stamps. (I store the stamps I use JUST for scrapbooking like journaling stamps and such in a different place.) I find it hard to work with on cards, but that may just be me.
I have both sets and use Very Punny more often, mainly because I seperated the words from the images when I mounted them. It made the images far more user friendly. I have used the So Very set too, just not as often. Jenny.
I HAD both - thought that I would use quite a bit, but never mounted and used either set. So, I sold both of my sets.
With that said - this is a personal choice. I would borrow, if available, first and see if you like it and then if so buy. I have bought so many sets that I wish I could have tried out more before buying - because I ended up never using.
I only have Very Punny but I love it. I did not seperate the words and pictures when I mounted them. I have definately used some more then others. But I have used it lots. I also have foudn it easy enough to ink up and avoid inking the words. Overall I am really happy I picked this sell-a-bration set - it is tons of fun!
I have both sets I have used Punny but So very never used it. I can't wait for the new catty to come out so I can sell all the old to buy the new LOL!!!
I have both of them - I haven't even mounted them yet. Not sure I will, they may just go into a garage sale. After getting them, I wasn't really impressed. Just me tho.
I never use either, but I have both and LOVE both. It's just been really busy around here. I do not regret having them and I would get them again. I see GREAT samples in SCS galleries. I just need to sit down and spend time with them.
I have them both and I love and use them both a lot. Especially So Very. Mine are unmounted and when I cut the Very Punny I split the words up and love that I can use them separately.
I like using very punny but without the sayings. I cut off the sayings and stuck them on the side of the wood so they are available if needed. The only stamp I haven't used is the cow - still trying to think of something for that one.
I have Very Punny and I like using it for kids cards. I don't use the words, though. I mounted them on the ends of the blocks to get them out of the way. I could have tossed them and never missed them, though.

This is how I stamp the images too ... in Black Stazon, using tape to cover the words when I don't want them stamped. Works like a charm!
Kittie has AWESOME samples. Her cards are all brilliant!
I have very punny...I mounted the words seperately too. I haven't used it yet but there are some very cute examples on this site and I will definitely use it in the future!
